She auditions with this song in an attempt to win the only featured solo at Nationals, but Jesse says the song lacks the emotional depth that Amy Winehouse gave to the song. This angers Santana and at the end of the performance and she starts to bad-mouth Jesse until Will calls her to calm down.

The original lyrics include the line "Kept his d*ck wet," but this line was changed to "Kept his lips wet."
This was the third song by Amy Winehouse to be sang in Glee (after Rehab and Valerie), and is the second to be sung by Santana.
