Beatrice McClaine is a former student at NYADA, being cut by Carmen after her performance in the round room.

Beatrice is the first student to get asked to sing a song publically in front of all the other NYADA students. She then gives a rendition of Ave Maria, which is interrupted by Carmen Tibideaux, who realizes that Beatrice didn't practice her song "all summer long", as she had been told. Beatrice is then told to reapply to NYADA again in December, implying that she has been kicked out. She walks away, upset.
