Big Spender from Sweet Charity is featured in Dream On, the nineteenth episode of Season One and in The Purple Piano Project, the first episode of Season Three. In Dream On it is sung by a candidate auditioning for Les Misérables, and in The Purple Piano Project it is sung by Sugar Motta as her audition for the New Directions.
This song/audition marks the first time that a person auditioned for New Directions and didn't make it because of their voice. Rachel, at first, is jealous of her, scared she might steal the spotlight of New Directions. But when Sugar begins to sing, Rachel immediately knows what's coming. The rest of New Directions watch in a dreadful manner, other than Brittany, who enjoys the performance.

Lyrics
Sugar (Woman audition in Dream On):
The minute you walked in the joint
I could tell you were a man of distinction
Sugar
A real big spender
Good looking
So refined
Wouldn't you like to know what's going on in my mind
Hey, big spender!
Spend a little time with me, Yeah
