The Brittany-Santana Relationship, commonly referred to as Brittana, or Santittany as Santana referred to them in Blame It on the Alcohol, is the romantic relationship and friendship between Brittany Pierce, and Santana Lopez.

In Sectionals, Brittany implies that they sleep with one another and in Sexy, Santana and Brittany admit that they both love each other as more than just best friends. They are officially confirmed to be dating in Pot O' Gold. They kiss for the first time on screen in Heart. In The Break-Up, Santana told Brittany that due to the distance and to not end up eventually hurting each other like the typical long distance relationships, they should just do "the mature thing," take a break and stay on good terms.

Overview

They have had a sexual relationship and also an intimate friendship. They were in the Celibacy Club, Cheerios, and Glee Club together. During the school day, they are constantly together and they sit

together during Glee Club meetings. They frequently held hands and linked pinkies all through season one. While Brittany often makes unintelligent and nonsensical remarks, Santana rarely comments negatively but frequently gives her questioning looks, laughs or defends her from any harsh comment made directly at her. In one instance, Santana helps Brittany when she doesn't know her right from her left. In another, Santana says "leave Brittany alone" when Kurt tries to blame Brittany when Mr. Schue says no to performing a number by Britney Spears. While Santana is often tough in her relationships with other people, she shows a softer side to her personality when she is with Brittany. The two are often seen intimately cuddling, holding hands and walking with their pinkies locked. The pinkies locked thing seems to be their handshake. Also, they are often seen wearing matching bracelets and backpacks.

When Brittany finally confronts Santana about their relationship, they end up confessing their love to one another, but don't end up dating because Brittany stated that it would be wrong to break up with Artie because she loves

him too and because Santana is too afraid to be an out lesbian because of her reputation. Brittany eventually breaks up with Artie. When they began dating, they kept it as a secret due to Santana's fear of what others would think.

They officially called it a relationship in the episode Pot O' Gold, when Santana hesitantly inquired if they were dating. Brittany responded with statements implying she was under the assumption they had been dating for a while. As of The Break-Up, they are on an official break in their relationship, because Santana doesn't want the pressures of a long distance relationship. Santana assures Brittany that it's not a break-up, although Brittany says it feels like one. In Diva, Brittany pushes Santana to follow her dreams and move to New York and calls her her best friend.

Episodes

Season One

Showmance

During celibacy club, after Santana twirls in her skirt (while Quinn says "God bless the pervert that invented these skirts") if you look at Brittany you can see her bite her lip kind of sexily. They both performed background vocals for Quinn's performance of I Say a Little Prayer. Whilst Quinn had slightly different dance moves, Santana and Brittany had identical dance moves. During this, they are seen locking eyes on occasions. When Sue talks to the trio about joining New Directions, Brittany and Santana do a high-five behind Quinn's back.

The Rhodes Not Taken

At the beginning of the episode, Quinn runs out of the room to go throw up from morning sickness, and Kurt then says, "Can we please talk about the giant elephant in the room?" to which Santana retorts, "Your sexuality?" and then she furtively glances over at Brittany on the other side of the room. While in the choir room, Brittany is giving Santana a shoulder massage when they learn that Quinn is pregnant.

Throwdown

During the time Will's trying to gain favor from the glee club by asking them what kind of songs they would like to do, Brittany can be seen with her head on Santana's shoulder in the background. While in the choir room, Brittany and Santana hug before Santana leaves the room with the rest of Sue's Kids. Brittany also reaches her hand out to Santana as if to say "no, don't go" before Santana leaves. Brittany has her head on Santana's shoulder when Will is talking to the glee kids. When the Cheerios have been cut and Quinn is talking to Sue, Brittany can be seen helping Santana warm up.

Wheels

After getting the news that they have to use a wheelchair, Santana becomes upset and Brittany rubs her back comfortingly. Then when Kurt asks the glee club to raise their right hand, Brittany raises her left and Santana is the one that corrects her. Later, as soon as Puck tackles Finn to the ground, Santana can be seen with her arm linked with Brittany's. After Mr. Schuester breaks up the fight, Santana and Brittany can still be seen in the background only this time, it is Brittany holding onto Santana's arms.

Ballad

When picking partners, Mr. Schuester said that their partners would be left up to fate. Santana was excited and giddy as she got Brittany as a partner, and Brittany stood up and started clapping. In the background you could hear someone saying, "how fitting" and another person agreeing. As Santana walks back to her seat, Brittany gives her a high five. During the last tones of Lean On Me, they are shown standing closely together. Brittany momentarily has her hand on Santana's shoulder.

Hairography

When they are sitting in the auditorium about to watch The Jane Adam's Academy perform, Santana and Brittany are sitting beside each other, and Santana is looking at Brittany's legs then turns away curling her lips. In the choir room they are dancing and laughing together as Will walks in. As Brittany is demonstrating 'hairography,' to the Glee club, Santana can be heard in the background saying, "Yay, Brittany."

Mattress

Right before Kurt shows the Glee Club Peter Gellar's photo in the Thunderclap, Brittany and Santana are grinning at each other. They are sitting in the library with Quinn, and the two of them are defacing the yearbook and laughing together. In the choir room as Rachel is about to inform the Glee club they have been cast in a commercial, Brittany whispers something to Santana, which causes her to laugh. Very briefly, when the mattress commercial scene starts they can be seen smiling and talking while putting their pajamas on. They are standing beside each other for the Glee Club Thunderclap photo, and after the picture is taken they are holding each other's hands and laughing.

Sectionals

While walking and talking together on a phone call with several other members of the glee club, Brittany accidentally mentions that if sex were dating, she and Santana would be dating. This confession is followed by an awkward silence and is seemingly ignored. For the remainder of the conversation, Santana and Brittany slide looks at each other, though never at the same time, before they hang up. Later, when they sit in the choir-room, they are noticeably positioned apart; Brittany sitting next to Kurt, (the only open LGBT character at the time) and Santana is sitting next to Puck. When they later are accused of having leaked the set-list, Brittany admits to it, scoring regretful looks from the rest of the club. Then as if she was trying to distract them, Santana tells them that she likes being in the club, without encouragement or pressure to say it.

Hell-O

They are seen walking and linking pinkies several times throughout the episode. Any time Brittany and Santana are flirting with Finn they appear to be flirting more with each other than with him, especially during Rachel's performance of Gives You Hell, and during their date. During their date with Finn, Santana says that she and Brittany will make out while he watches, which confuses Finn. When Finn leaves, Santana looks confused when Brittany asks "Did you know dolphins are just gay sharks?"

The Power of Madonna

Santana and Brittany sit next to each other during Glee Club practice. Santana has her hand at Brittany's stomach during this scene, and as they leave the choir room they link pinkies. Later in the episode, Santana goes to Brittany for advice when she is unsure about whether to ask out Finn. Brittany then smiles at her and gives her advice, telling her to take Finn's virginity. They dance together with the other Cheerios during Mercedes and Kurt's performance of 4 Minutes, pairing up for a couple dance moves.

Home

They are linking pinkies when they leave the choir room after Will tells the club that he'll find the club an alternate practice location, since Sue is blackmailing Figgins to let the Cheerios have exclusive use of the auditorium. They hold hands while skating at April's rink, and when Kurt is singing A House Is Not a Home, Brittany and Santana link pinkies again and Santana leans her head on Brittany's shoulder.

Laryngitis

While Rachel put mics all over the choir room, you can see Santana touching Brittany's hand during the vocalization "mi, mi, mi," leaning against the piano. Brittany moves her hand closer to Santana's and you can see Santana starting to lay her head on Brittany's shoulder.

Funk

They link pinkies again when they are given their 'Funk' assignment. In the background during Sue's interview after winning the cheerleading Nationals competition with the Cheerios, Santana jumps into Brittany's arms and wraps her legs around her.

Journey

When the results are coming in whether they got 1st or 3rd, you

see Brittany and Santana holding hands in the back. When Quinn is talking to her mom, you see Brittany and Santana interacting .

When Mr. Schuester tells the glee club that they have one more year, they are seen hugging like the rest of the Glee Club. Next they were back in the choir room Puck and in the choir room, Brittany and Santana link pinkies and laugh together. Brittany's head is on Santana's shoulder as Mr. Schuester sings the final words of the song.

Season Two

Audition

Brittany and Santana are standing together while Jacob is asking Quinn questions. When he asks Santana about her summer she said it was uneventful and when he asks Brittany she said people thought she was on vacation, but she actually spent all summer lost in the sewers. Santana is listening to Brittany while she explains this. They are sitting together when Mr. Schue says New Directions style Brittany starts clapping and yelling. Santana is looking over at her lovingly. During the group performance of New York they come running down the stairs with Quinn and sing and dance with the other. Sue calls out Santana for getting a boob job over the summer and demotes her to the bottom of the pyramid. Santana and Quinn get into a fight in the hall over Quinn taking her head cheerleader spot. Brittany is watching and tells them to "stop the violence." After Mr. Schue breaks up the fight Brittany and Santana walk off together. Sue tries to get Coach Beiste fired by getting Brittany to say that she touched her boobs. When she confesses she was lying she says she didn't touch my boobs, but that she wants to touch her boobs, talking about Coach Beiste. During Sunshine's Listen performance they are sitting together in the auditorium. They can also be seen dancing, singing along, and talking.

At the end Santana is looking at Brittany sweetly, with a big smile on her face while Brittany cheers for Sunshine. When Rachel sings What I Did for Love, she looks in the choir room window. The first time Brittany is saying something to Santana, the second time Santana has her legs in Brittany's lap and Brittany is stroking her legs and Santana is rubbing Brittany's back and telling her something, the third time, when Rachel walks in the room Santana still has her legs in Brittany's lap and she is running her fingers up and down them. They are both seen wearing their friendship bracelets through the majority of the episode.

Britney/Brittany

They are sitting together in the choir room when Mr. Schue is talking about Christopher Cross. Brittany says Christopher Cross discovered America. Brittany passes the sheet music to Santana. When Brittany explains her reasons for not wanting to do Britney Spears, Kurt protests but Santana snaps at him, even though she seemed just as excited to do Britney Spears as the others, and tells him to leave Brittany alone. Brittany then thanks Santana for understanding and Santana strokes her back. During the introduction of Dr. Carl to the glee club, Santana commented on him saying "You are the hottest dentist I've ever seen," and continue with "No like seriously you can totally drill me whenever.." but was stopped by Ms. Pillsbury. After that Brittany is seen making an expression approving of what Santana said and tap Santana's chair with her feet. They both looked to each other and smirked. When Brittany's teeth turn blue she says she thought Dr. Pepper was a real doctor and that she rinsed her mouth out with it, instead of brushing them. At the dentist office Brittany says the office looks like the spaceship where she go probed. While under anesthesia Brittany performs I'm a Slave 4 U.

They walk by together while Rachel and Finn are talking at his locker and Santana calls Rachel a dwarf and makes fun of the way she dresses. Brittany chimes in telling her she's more talented than her. Santana goes to the dentist with Brittany. Dr. Carl tells Santana he can't put her under because her teeth are perfect and she says her dad is a doctor and they have a great healthcare plan. She tells him to get up in her grill cause Britt's and her want to get their anesthesia on. Brittany is sitting in the other chair smiling the entire time she's talking. While under they perform a sexually-charged rendition of Me Against the Music in which they dance very seductively with one another. When they wake up from the fantasy, both of them are smiling and giggling.

In the choir room they are sitting together and Brittany demands to get all the solo's from now on in glee club because when she had her teeth cleaned she had the most amazing Britney Spears fantasy that she sang and danced better than her in and now she realizes what a powerful woman she truly is. Santana is listening to her intently and says she had the same fantasy too but she's not sure how their fantasies combined and how that doesn't really make sense. Brittany chimes back in saying she's more talented then all of them, she sees that clearly now, and ends by saying its Brittany... bitch. Santana glances over at her then looks at her legs.

When Kurt goes off on Mr. Schue they look over at each other shocked. In the choir room Santana says she actually digs Rachel's, Hit Me Baby One More Time, look clapping and saying yah. Brittany is sitting beside her. Brittany calls Britney Spears hot in Artie's fantasy. Santana is sitting behind Brittany in the choir room when Artie says he has Britney Spears to thank and Brittany says you're welcome. Santana cuts her eyes at her. When Mr. Schue agrees to do a Britney Spears number for the assembly Brittany turns and gives Santana a high five. They are seen looking very excited and begin having a conversation. They get ready to hug but Brittany turns back around when Mr. Schue says he will be performing with them. During the assembly they sing and dance together to Toxic along with the others. They are together in the choir room and are seen together talking to Finn at his locker during Rachel's performance of The Only Exception, at one point they pause and look at each other lovingly. They are seen through most of the episode wearing their friendship bracelets. Anyway, I ship Brittana!!! Such a great couple

Grilled Cheesus

They are sitting together in the choir room, Santana is watching Brittany pick at her leg. They dance together during Puck's performance of Only The Good Die Young. After the song Santana glances over at Brittany with a big smile on her face. They come into the choir room and stop to give Kurt their support. Brittany gives him a book report she did on heart attacks that got knocked down a letter grade for being written in crayon. Santana listens to her and then places her hand on her shoulder and leads her to their seats. In a discussion about God, Brittany asks if God was an evil dwarf, Santana glances over at her. When Brittany and Santana meet with Coach Sue, where she calls Santana jugs the clown. Brittany tells them that she made a card, for Kurt, saying that "heart attacks are just from loving too much." Santana gives Brittany a glance and a sweet smile. Before Kurt's song they are sitting together and at the beginning of the scene Brittany is looking over at Santana. Santana is sitting behind Brittany in the choir room during Finn's Dream performance. They sing together with the others to One of Us, standing beside each other for the majority of the song. Towards the end of the song Brittany looks over at Santana.

Duets

They are seen in the choir room talking to Mike while Santana stretches.

They then sit down together. Santana looks at Brittany and smiles when Brittany says that Puck may be the dumbest person on the planet and that's coming from her. Santana looks over at Brittany after Sam introduces himself and says he has no game. Santana tells Brittany that she's got to win the dinner at Breadstix, Brittany says she knows. They are seen on Brittany's bed. Santana is laying on Brittany kissing her neck, while Brittany rubs her back. Brittany says she loves her sweet lady kisses and Santana says it's a nice break from all the scissoring (having sex). Brittany says they should sing a duet together and says they could do "Come to My Window" by Melissa Etheridge.

Santana says first of all there's a lot of talking going on and she wants to get her mack on. Brittany says, "Well I don't know I just--" and Santana interrupts her, sitting up and putting her hair up, saying, "Second of all, I'm not making out with you because I'm in love with you and I want to sing about making lady babies." She says she is there because Puck has been in the slammer for about 12 hours and she's like a lizard; she needs something warm underneath her or she can't digest her food. Brittany, who is clearly upset, asks her who she's going to sing a duet with and Santana gets an evil smile across her face.

Santana asks Mercedes to be her duet partner. Brittany tells Artie that she's really into him and that she wants to be his girlfriend so she can wheel him around. She is pushing Artie through the hall when they pass Santana. Brittany turns around with a serious look on her face, points to each of her boobs and shakes her finger no. Then she turns and walks off. Santana is left standing in the hall looking upset. Santana performs River Deep,Mountain High with Mercedes. Brittany watches the song trying her best not to enjoy it, but is seen smiling for an instant. When Santana is singing "I love you baby like the robin loves to sing" she makes flirty eyes and smiles at Brittany. Brittany does applaud them at the end and the next time she is shown biting her nails.

In the choir room, before Mike and Tina's duet Santana tells them to hurry up cause she needs to get herself to Breadstix. Brittany turns to Santana, who is sitting right behind her, and says don't count on it. I'm mad at you, but you are still so hot. Santana looks unsure on how to react to the comment. Santana looks sad while Quinn and Sam sing Lucky. At the end of the performance Santana says "so freakin' charming." Artie breaks up with Brittany because he was told by a reliable source, Santana, that she was using him for a free dinner and to prove it Santana asks a random guy if he knew Cheerios Brittany and he said yeah we had sex. Santana told Artie that he couldn't give Brittany anything but super choice parking. Brittany is left looking really upset from the break-up. It could be said Santana does this out of jealousy.

During voting Brittany is sitting behind Santana and when the winner is announced Santana lunges forward to try to grab the Breadstix passes. Santana starts crying and while Mercedes comforts her you can also see Brittany lean over to rub Santana's back and whisper something in her ear. They are walking together with their pinkies locked when they pass Rachel and Kurt in the hall. At Breadstix, Brittany is sitting alone behind Quinn and Sam and she is rolling a meatball across her plate with her nose. They are sitting together during Rachel and Kurt's performance. They are also seen wearing their friendship bracelets throughout this episode, although Santana was wearing it more than Brittany.

The Rocky Horror Glee Show

Santana is the lips at the beginning of the episode singing Science Fiction/Double Feature. They sing back up to There's a Light (Over At The Frankenstein Place) by Finn and Rachel. They are sitting together when Mr. Schue announces that they're doing Rocky Horror. They are sitting together in the choir room and Santana sarcastically says that she cannot wait till Finn takes his top off so she can see all the hot mess underneath. Brittany chimes in and says, "You can't eat sloppy joes every day and think you can get away with it." They are both smiling and looking at one another while the other delivers their insults. Santana later says that Artie asked her earlier if he could make a gigantic omelet when she's done with the ostrich eggs she's smuggling in her bra. Brittany looks over at her and throws her head back in shock over the comment. Then Brittany says she is super looking forward to seeing Sam in his gold bikini. They are both smiling and looking at each other lovingly after their comments.

Santana helps Brittany follow along in the script during the first rehearsal of Rocky Horror. They dance together during Carl's audition of Whatever Happened to Saturday Night? after Brittany beckons Santana to come join her in dancing. They are standing beside each other during the first dress rehearsal. They dance and sing back-up for Mercedes's performance of Sweet Transvestite. At one point Santana glances over at Brittany. They giggle together, give each other looks, and mock Will and Emma during the performance of Touch a Touch a Touch a Touch Me when they are spying on them (like Magenta and Columbia, their chosen roles, in the movie). They also sing some back-up. Before they run down the hall together they are seen hugging. Later they're running down the hallways with pinkies linked, singing and spinning each other. At one point, Brittany slaps Santana's butt and then Santana puts her arm around Brittany as they skip off.

During the next dress rehearsal, in the auditorium, Brittany sits behind Santana. While talking to Principal Figgins, Mr. Schue says last year when the Cheerios won the national championship Santana pantsed Brittany and she was wearing "a lot less than her underwear." When Mr. Schue says they are still going to do Rocky Horror, Santana looks back at Brittany. They dance and sing with the others to The Time Warp. Santana is wearing her friendship bracelet through a lot of the episode while Brittany is only wearing it randomly.

Never Been Kissed

They are sitting together in the choir room when Mr. Schue talks about the competition for sectionals. When he says all male school, talking about Dalton, Santana says, "Okay, hold up, like a million awesome gay jokes just popped into my head." After talking about the Hipsters, Brittany is looking at Santana. After Puck talks about breaking a hip Santana says something to Brittany. When Mr. Schue announces the boys vs. girls tournament Brittany tells Santana that she loves that, the assignment, so much and they both look very excited. They are seen with the other girls trying to decide on a song for the tournament. They are both wearing their friendship bracelets.

They are sitting together in the choir room together and Brittany looks over at Santana and smiles when Mr. Schue tells the girls they will have to perform boys music. After Puck and Artie sing One Love (People Get Ready), Brittany and Santana can be seen on the stairs outside talking and swapping Jolly Ranchers, which seem to be the same flavor. They are sitting together in the choir room when Puck and Artie come in to talk to them. The girls ask them to dinner, which they say they will attend unless they find hotter chicks by then. At Breadstix, Brittany has her hand on Artie's leg. They perform Start Me Up/Livin' On a Prayer with the other New Directions Girls. They are sitting together in the choir room during the boys performance. At one point Brittany is looking at Santana with her hand on her heart. They smile and glance at each other throughout the performance. Santana is talking to Brittany while the boys are hugging Coach Beiste.

The Substitute

They are together in the choir room when Mr. Schue is talking about song selection. Brittany is sitting behind Santana in the choir room when Rachel attempts to take over. Brittany helps hold Santana back from going after Rachel. They are sitting together in the choir room when Ms. Holiday comes in. During introductions Santana says she's Rachel and Brittany says she's Mike. Santana is looking over at

Brittany after Ms. Holiday says top 40 sweet cheeks and then Brittany nudges her. They sing and dance back-up to Forget You. At one point Santana grabs Brittany's wrist. They are seen looking at each other several times during the song. At the end Santana has her arm around Brittany.

They are together with the others during Make 'Em Laugh. Brittany and Santana are together in the cafeteria with the other Cheerios throwing the tater tots away. They are sitting together in the choir room when Rachel remembers a time when Mr. Schue turned her down to sing an upbeat glamorous song. They are with the others in the auditorium when Rachel and Ms. Holiday perform Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag. They are sitting together in the choir room when Mr. Schue comes back. They can be seen glancing at each other several times. They are also sitting together in Ms. Holiday's history class. They are seen in the background having a conversation while Mr. Schue and Ms. Holiday talk. They are with the other in the auditorium performing Singing In the Rain/Umbrella. They can be seen looking at each other occasionally during the performance.

Furt

Santana gets mad because all the glee girls are having a meeting without her. Rachel tells her she wasn't invited because she doesn't have a boyfriend, Santana looks at Brittany. Quinn then says that Santana is just getting naked with Puck implying that they aren't dating at which point Brittany glares at Quinn.

Tina adds that Puck cannot get in trouble or he will have to go back to juvie. They are together with the others in the choir room after the boys get into a fight with Karofsky. After it is pointed out that Santana doesn't have a boyfriend, she goes to Finn and tries to get him to tell everyone that he and Santana had sex, and then she tries to get him to break up with Rachel to date her possibly so people won't be suspicious of her being single. They perform Marry You with the others and are bridesmaids in Burt and Carole's wedding. They stand together at the altar and Santana wakes Brittany up when she falls asleep. Santana looks sad when she looks around at all the happy couples. Brittany has her hand on Santana's back at the end of the ceremony. They are sitting at the same table at the reception. They sing and dance with the others to Just the Way You Are. They are together in the choir room with the others when Kurt announces that he is leaving.

Special Education

They are sitting together in the choir room talking when Mr. Schue walks in and tells them that Brittany and Mike are going to dance at Sectionals. They both look really happy. At one point, Santana has her hand on Brittany's arm and another time she has her hand on Brittany's leg. Right after that Santana announces to everyone, mainly Rachel, that her and Finn had sex last year. Brittany is very nervous about her dance because she doesn't want to let everyone down. They are sitting together in the choir room when Rachel walks in with her mouth taped.

They are sitting together during The Hipsters performance and Brittany says something to Santana at the end. They are still sitting together during the Warblers performance and are all smiles and both applaud them at the end. They sing and dance back-up during Quinn and Sam's performance of I've Had the Time Of My Life. They are standing together before Santana begins Valerie and Brittany runs her hand down the back of her head and slaps her on the butt twice. They dance together before Brittany and Mike do their dance routine. During the performance, Santana calls Brittany over with a beckoning finger and a loving look. They dance together again with the rest of the New Directions Girls. They are standing together with the others awaiting the results, which is a tie. They are standing together at the piano in the choir room when Mr. Schue brings in the trophy. They perform The Dog Days are Over with the others. Both are seen wearing their friendship bracelets randomly in the episode.

A Very Glee Christmas

They are decorating the tree together in the choir room singing The Most Wonderful Day of the Year with the rest of the glee club members. Brittany points at Santana when she sings all the fun with the girls. When Finn starts talking Brittany is staring at Santana. They are standing together in the classroom and they keep looking at each other. When they go visit Santa with some of the others they both watch one another tell Santa what they wish for. They are together in the choir room looking at the damages Sue created as the Grinch. They are with the others getting ready to cut their hair for charity when Mr. Schue stops them. They are together with the others and Sue at Mr. Schue's house on Christmas Eve.

The Sue Sylvester Shuffle

They are doing their cheer dance routine to California Girls with the other Cheerios. They are standing together while Sue is talking. Sue refers to Santana as sandbags and tells her to slap herself with a chicken cutlet, which she

does. She then tells her to slap Brittany with the chicken cutlet, which she does. They are cheering at the football game with the other Cheerios. They are sitting together in the choir room when Artie comes in covered in Slushie. Santana has on her friendship bracelet.

Sue tells Brittany that she's going to be shot out of a cannon and she's afraid she's going to die. In the choir room they are sitting together while Mr. Schue and Coach Beiste are talking. They look upset when Mr. Schue announces they are performing Thriller/Heads Will Roll because they will miss it because of a Cheerios competition. They dance by each other in zombie camp in the auditorium. They also both help the boys with their zombie make-up in the choir room.

Later in the bathroom, they along with Quinn trying to decide between glee and the Cheerios. They choose the Cheerios and go together to give Mr. Schue their resignation letter. They are standing together looking at the cannon. Brittany says she's going to die and Santana says it will be worth it. When the three girls (Quinn, Brittany, and Santana) start to leave and Sue tries to stop them, Santana says screw you, you put me on the bottom of the pyramid. Sue tells them they are her best talent and Brittany says "sucks for you" and they quit the Cheerios. They perform Thriller/Heads Will Roll with the others and are cheering with the other girls on the sidelines after halftime.

Silly Love Songs

They are sitting together in the choir room, Santana is smiling at Brittany. Brittany is smiling at Santana when  she's talking about no one wanting to kiss Finn. The Glee club gangs up on Santana and tells her how they feel about her (ending with Rachel telling her the only job she'll get is working on a pole) and Santana leaves,

Brittany comforts her in the hallway while Santana tells her that she just tries to be really honest with people when she thinks that they suck, whilst hysterically crying. Brittany shows that she understands and she looks sympathetic towards her whilst she continues stroking her back and her hair in an effort to comfort her. Santana is sitting behind Brittany in the choir room with the others while Puck and the boys sing Fat Bottomed Girls. They are together in the choir room with the others while Artie sings P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing). In the choir room Santana is sad because she's single on Valentine's Day and Santana gives Finn mono, who gives it to Quinn. They are with the others in the choir room in another scene. Also, during Rachel's performance of Firework, Brittany and Santana periodically look at each other. At the end of the number, Brittany takes Santana's hand and leads her down and dances with her and the rest of New Directions. Santana is sitting at a table alone at Breadstix with some of the others including Brittany who is sitting with Artie. She looks really sad but by the end of the Warblers performance of Silly Love Songs she is smiling. She also turns and looks at Sam, who is also by himself.

Comeback

Santana is sitting behind Brittany in the choir room before Sam's performance. When Sam is singing Baby by Justin Bieber, Brittany looks back at Santana and at one point holds her hand, even though Artie is right next to her, and says something to her. They are together with the others in the choir room and the auditorium during The Justin Bieber Experiences performance of Somebody to Love. Brittany sits down one seat over from Santana before the diva-off in the choir room. They are together with the others in the choir room during Lauren's I Know What Boys Like performance. They perform SING with the rest of the glee club. They are together in the choir room discussing their song selection and it is obvious that Santana is now with Sam.

Blame It on the Alcohol

They are walking very close down the hall together talking on the phone to Artie, Mercedes and Puck about Rachel's party.

When Santana calls Puck she calls her and Brittany, "Santittany." They are looking at each other throughout the phone conversation and at the end Santana glances over at Brittany. They are together with the others at Rachel's party. Santana does a body shot off Brittany's stomach and then they fall over laughing. Santana is bent over laughing when Brittany falls on the floor. During a game of spin the bottle, Brittany kisses Sam, who was Santana's boyfriend at that time. She breaks up the kiss saying "You know what this is not? Hey honeys. This is not a Big Red commercial. No me gusta (I don't like this)." She is staring at Brittany while she is breaking them up, not Sam. She looks very jealous. The next day at school,they meet up in the hall with the others and drink Bloody Mary's before performing Blame It (On the Alcohol) in the auditorium. They are standing by each other after to the performance while Mr. Schue speaks and Santana looks really upset and

jealous at Brittany and Artie standing together and turns away trying to compose herself. But as Brittany and Artie interact, Santana slowly becomes more and more upset until she bursts out in tears than Brittany grabs her arm and Santana turns towards her to wrap her arms around Brittany's neck. Brittany wraps her arms around Santana trying to comfort her. Santana buries her face in Brittany's shoulder whilst Brittany whispers something in her ear.

At the assembly they drink Rachel's concoction and Brittany performs Tik Tok. Brittany and Santana both throw up gray coloured vomit. Brittany tells everyone to drink responsibly while covered in puke. They are standing together in Principal Figgins office with the rest of the glee club. Santana sits behind Brittany in the choir room after they leave Principal Figgins office.

Sexy

Santana walks up to Brittany at her locker and says, "Hey Britt Britt. So listen, how about you and I pop in some Sweet Valley High this evening and get our cuddle on?" Brittany says she would really like to get her sweet lady kisses on but she hasn't been feeling really sexy lately and that she thinks she has a "bun in the oven." She tells Santana to please not tell anyone, especially Artie. Santana looks like she is in shock and turns around and says, "OMG Brittany's pregnant!" more out loud to herself in disbelief than to Tina. Later Brittany explains that she saw a stork building a nest on her roof and Santana looks shocked but also relieved that Brittany is obviously not really pregnant. Santana gives Brittany an appalled look when she says she gets all her information from Woody Woodpecker cartoons. Santana and Brittany sing and dance with Ms. Holiday to Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah). They look at each other a few times before the others join in.

Next they are seen together in Santana's disheveled bedroom and Santana is fixing Brittany's hair, insinuating they had just been intimate. Brittany says she wants to talk to Santana about something, saying she really likes when they "make-out and stuff." Santana chimes in, "Which isn't cheating because?" and Brittany answers with, "Because the plumbing's different." Then Brittany says that when she and Artie are together they talk about feelings. Santana, fixing her lipgloss, asks why. Brittany says, "Because with feelings it's better." Santana refutes the statement, saying she thinks it's better "when it doesn't involve feelings...or eye contact." Brittany says, "I don't know. I guess I just don't know how I feel about us." Santana says, "Look. Let's be clear here. I'm not interested in any labels," as she's putting the pillows back on her bed, "unless it's on something I shoplift." Brittany says, "I don't know Santana, I think we should talk to somebody, like an adult. This relationship is really confusing for me." Santana says, "Breakfast is confusing for you." Brittany says, "Well sometimes its sweet and sometimes its salty. Like what if I had eggs for dinner, then what is it?" Santana looks unsure how to respond.

At school, they stop Ms. Holiday in the library and tell her that they need her help. They are sitting on the floor in Ms. Holiday's sacred sexy sharing circle. She asks if either of them think they are a lesbian. Brittany says she doesn't know how she feels because Santana won't talk about it and Santana says she's attracted to both. When Ms. Holiday says its not about who you are attracted to, its about who you fall in love with, Santana looks over at Brittany. Ms. Holiday suggest they sing about it. Santana says she has the perfect song.

In the choir room they perform Landslide with Ms. Holiday. They are looking at each other throughout the song and Santana starts crying at the end. Brittany ask her if that's really how she feels. Santana says it is and then gets up and walks over to Brittany and they hug. Brittany says something to her and they share a loving stare. Rachel interrupts their moment by saying she would like to "applaud the trio for exploring the uncharted waters of sapphic (lesbian) charm. Brava. Brava." Santana, with her and Brittany's arms around each other, says "Look, just because I sang a song with Brittany doesn't mean that you can put a label on me. Is that clear?"

She then looks over at Brittany and walks away. Brittany is left looking confused as she watches Santana walk away. The meaning of Landslide  has to do with the singer just letting go and going for something. She always saw herself as being above love but finds herself falling in love and its feels like shes losing control. So she is going to trust this person who she has built her life around and is going to let the landslide take her down and trust the other person to do the same. They are both in the auditorium with the others during the performance of Afternoon Delight. After,Santana walks up to Brittany at her locker and says, "Hi. Can we talk?" Brittany says, "But we never do that." Santana says, "I know, but I wanted to thank you for performing that song with me in glee club. Because its made me do a lot of thinking. And what I realized is why I'm such a bitch all the time. I'm a bitch because I'm angry. Angry because I have all these feelings... feelings for you that I'm afraid of dealing with cause I'm afraid of dealing with the consequences. And Brittany, I can't go to an Indigo Girls concert. I just can't." Brittany empathizes with her. Santana asks if Brittany understands what she's saying. Brittany says, "No, not really." Santana says, "I want to be with you.

But I'm afraid of the talks and the looks. I mean, you know what happened to Kurt at this school." Brittany says, "But honey, if anybody were to ever make fun of you, you would kick their ass or slash them with your vicious, vicious words." Santana, now crying, says, "Yeah, I know... but I'm afraid of what everyone will say behind my back. Still I have to accept that I love you. I love you and I don't want to be with Sam or Finn or any of those guys. I just want you. Please say you love me back. Please." Brittany says "Of course I love you. I do. And I would totally be with you if it weren't for Artie." Santana, shocked, says "Artie?" Brittany says, "Yeah, I love him too and I don't want to hurt him. It's not right. I can't break up with him." Santana, angry now, says, "Yes you can! He's just a stupid boy!" Brittany says, "But it wouldn't be right. Santana, you have to know if Artie I were to ever break up and I'm lucky enough that you are still single.." She tries to hold Santana's hand but is pushed away as Santana says, "Don't." Brittany continues: "I'm so yours. And proudly so." Santana says, "Wow. Who ever thought being fluid meant you could be so stuck?"

Brittany, looking pained, says "I'm sorry... don't," as she tries to hug Santana to comfort her. Santana pushes her off and says "Get off me" and walks away, leaving Brittany standing there.

In Celibacy Club meeting, a sullen Santana watches sadly as Brittany and Artie share smiles at the mention of love.

Original Song

They are together in the choir room with the others when Mr. Schue announces that they cannot do the song they originally selected to perform at Regionals. Brittany walks up to Santana at their lockers. She said hey, Santana glances over at her. Brittany says can I ask you a question? We used to be really close and I really miss being your friend. Santana says still waiting for the question, as she's attempting to open her locker. Brittany says did I do something wrong? Santana says I don't know. Did you? All I know is you blew me off to be with Stubbles McCripple Pants. That's fine. That's your lose. Cause now I get the chance to write an awesome heterosexual song about Sam that we are going to sing at Regionals. Brittany, looking upset, says wait you're still dating Sam? But you told me you were in love with me. Santana says I honestly don't know what I was thinking. She pauses and then says, Britt can you stop staring at me I can't remember my locker combo. Sue walks up to them and

says well if it isn't Tweedledumb and Tweedlefakeboobs. Usually it would be Santana defending herself and Brittany but since she is upset Brittany looks to Santana and sees this and steps up and defends them, saying you can't talk to us like that. You're not our cheer coach anymore. Sue says I'm not anyone's cheer coach anymore and tells them they betrayed her and in case they hadn't heard she likes to play dirty. They turn and open their lockers and get a face full of dirt. They both squeal and Brittany says I don't even remember putting that in there, Santana gives her a look. Both have dirt beards.

They are together in the choir room with the others, Santana performs Trouty Mouth. When she tells everyone that the song is for Sam she looks over at Brittany. They are together in the choir room with the others during Mercedes performance of Hell To The No. They dance and sing during the performance and look at each other a few times. They are sitting with the others at Regionals during Aural Intensity and the Warblers performances. During Get It Right, Santana and Brittany dance next to each other as a part of the choreography. They perform Loser Like Me with the others, and when Rachel sings "but hey, just give it a little time" Brittany points out of her way at Santana, foreshadowing their relationship development will come in time. They are standing with the others waiting on the results. They are together in the choir room when Mr. Schue gives out the MVP trophy. They join in the group hug at the end.

A Night of Neglect

They are together with the others in the choir room when Mr. Schue is talking about selling salt water taffy to raise money. When Santana gets a cherry icee facial she is talking to Brittany in the hallway. They are together with the others in the choir room discussing the Night of Neglect Fundraiser. They are sitting together in the auditorium with the others talking to Sunshine. Santana stands up for Kurt and Blaine in the hallway when Dave Karofsky is picking on them. They are together with the others at the fundraiser. Santana is standing behind Brittany before Mercedes comes back. They sit in the auditorium with the others during Mercedes' performance of Ain't No Way. At one point in the performance Santana glances over at Brittany. They are with the others when Sandy gives money to help the Brainiacs, Brittany says something to Santana and she shakes her head.

Born This Way

They are together with the others in the auditorium during booty camp. They are together with the others in the choir room. Brittany looks back at Santana shocked when Santana says, "I'm sure Artie has thought about getting his legs removed since he's not really using them anyways." Santana, while drawing on Finn and Quinn's prom poster, says, "I should be prom queen at this school. If I were prom queen I could get Brittany to drop the four-eyed loser and go for the real queen. She's so gullible that I could convince her that my royal decree had made her being with me the law of the land." At the Lima Bean Santana is watching Brittany and Artie from another table, looking sad. She perks up when she hears Blaine say he would be happy for Kurt to go back to McKinley if it weren't for Karofsky. She says to herself, looking over at Brittany, "That's it. Kurt's the trick to winning prom queen and getting Britt. Not to mention totally boosting our chances at Nationals." Later she jumps up from the table and says, "I've gotta gay. Go. Go. I've gotta go."  She later says, "Holy crap. I'm a closet lesbian and a judgmental bitch which means one thing I have awesome gaydar."

They are with the others in the choir room when Ms. Pillsbury says, "The thing about you that you are most ashamed of or you would like to change but can't because you were born this way," Santana looks down. When Ms. Pillsbury says the comment about ginger's having no soul Santana is looking at Brittany with a smirk. Brittany is making a pouty face. They are with the others in the choir room during I Feel Pretty/Unpretty.

At the Lima Bean Santana tells Dave that they play for the same team and she's not ready to eat hikima or get a flat top either, maybe in junior college. She tells him they are going to be each other's beards (when a gay woman and man date each other to hide the fact that their gay) and that the only straight she is straight up bitch. They are with the others in the choir room during Finn's I've Gotta Be Me performance. Santana is sitting behind Brittany with the others in the choir room when Karofsky comes in to talk to them. When Santana get's up and says this glee club is not complete, Brittany turns to listen to her. Santana places her hand on Brittany's shoulder to help her step down, Brittany is smiling and is checking Santana out while she's walking to the front. When Santana says she's with Dave, Brittany looks on the verge of tears. They are with the others outside when Kurt returns. During the group hug at the end of Somewhere Only We Know, Santana looks over at Brittany. They are with the others in the choir room during Kurt's performance of As If We Never Said Goodbye. They dance and sing along with the others in the mall to Barbra Streisand.

Brittany walks up to Santana at their lockers and says, "Hey. Do you like my shirt for glee club?" It read's "I'm With Stoopid" with an arrow pointing up. Santana says, "That's perfect. Check out mine." Santana's says

"Bitch." Brittany gives her a disappointed look and Santana says, "What? This is perfect. Legend has it when I came out of my mother I told the nurse she was fat." Brittany says, "Well I made a different one for you," holding up a shirt that says "Lebanese." Santana says, "I'm Hispanic," then she pauses and thinks about it, "Wait was that supposed to be lesbian?" Brittany says, "Yeah isn't that what it says? When you told me all that stuff the other week it meant so much to me. To see you be so honest.

Especially because I know how bad it hurt. I was so proud of you." Santana says, "Yeah well don't get used to it and certainly don't think about telling anyone." Brittany says, "Why not? You are like the awesomest girl at this school. Why would you try to hide any of that?" Santana says, "I'm dating Karofsky now." Brittany says it's gross. Santana says, "Uou don't get a say in who I date anymore." Brittany says "Why not? Because you're a lesbian and I'm bi-curious." Santana says, "No. Because I said I love you and you didn't say you love me back." Brittany says, "I do love you. Clearly you don't love you as much as I do or you would put the shirt on and dance with me." Brittany drops the "Lebanese" t-shirt in Santana's hands and storms off leaving Santana standing there.

In the auditorium everyone is in attendance except for Santana, before they perform Artie says, "Where's Santana? Sam replies that she is probably off somewhere making out with Karofsky, and Brittany looks upset by the comment. The others perform Born This Way with the exception of Santana who is sitting in the audience, with Dave, watching the others wearing her "Lebanese" t-shirt.

Rumours

On Fondue For Two, Brittany says, "I heard a rumor that Santana plays for the other team and I can confirm that rumor, its 100% true." Rachel shows Finn The Muckraker's blind items column which reads, "What prom queen candidate is spending a lot of time in her closet?" Finn says, "No that's garbage. Quinn's claustrophobic." Rachel says, "No that's Santana."

Next Brittany is sitting in the choir room when Santana storms in saying "This is all your fault!," with a copy of the newspaper in hand. "You told everyone that I play for another team on your ridiculous melted cheese show." Brittany, looking confused, says, "Wait. Are you mad? You do play for another team. You were on the Cheerios and now your only on the New Directions." Santana says, "And you couldn't think of any other way to say that?" She gives Brittany a look and then walks out. They are with each other during April's performance of Dreams. April stops and examines the group before she starts to sing, she then sings the lyrics and directs them at certain glee members. As she sings "Now here you go again, you say you want your freedom," she directs it to Brittany wanting to leave Artie. Brittany looks to Artie during this line with serious, pleading face and Artie is looking confused at April. Then she sings, "Well who am I to keep you down" directed at Artie. Santana is then seen going from enjoying the performance to taking it literally. She seems to direct the line "but listen carefully to the sound of your loneliness" to Santana, who then looks over at Brittany during "like a heartbeat drives you mad, the stillness of remembering what you had and what you lost." After the performance is when Artie decides to confront Brittany.

Artie wheels up to Brittany who is standing at her locker and says, "What's going on with you and Santana?" Brittany says, looking confused, "Nothing." Artie says, "It doesn't sound like nothing. It sounds like something which is almost always more than nothing." Brittany laughs and says, "Calm down Artie." Artie says, "Are you cheating on me with her?" Brittany says, "No. Of course not. I mean I can't; she's a girl. Fooling around with her isn't cheating, it's just friends talking with their tongues super close." Artie says, "Now who told you that?" Brittany says, "Santana." Artie says, "Don't you see that she's manipulating you?" Brittany says, "That's not cheating either. She told me that." Artie says, "Do you see what's going on here? You're the hottest girl in this school and I wear saddle shoes on legs that don't work.

This shouldn't be happening. Not because I'm in a wheelchair but because I'm obsessed with angry birds and my mom cuts my hair." Brittany says "I like your haircut." Artie says, "It's hard enough for me to believe that this is real. If I know that you spent just a little time sharing yourself with someone else. That there's one other person in your life that can provide for you things that I'm supposed to provide. That's just too much for me to take and Santana knows that. She's taking advantage of it to break us up." Brittany says, "No, everybody thinks she's a bad person, but she's not." Artie says, "God Brittany. Why are you so stupid?" Brittany, tearing up, says, "You were the only person at this school that had never called me that." She turns and walks off. Even though Artie is confessing his insecurities, Brittany only mildly jumps in to make him feel better, but when he attacks Santana, Brittany quickly jumps in and defends her forcefully.

During Artie's performance of Never Going Back Again, Santana is comforting Brittany outside the cafeteria. She hugs her, tells her something, touches her nose, and then puts her arm around her and they walk off. They are together in the choir room. Brittany says, "I'm so sad. I'm a sad little panda." Santana says, "Well that's why I brought you here. To cheer you up. I've been going through the Rumours album and I found the best song that really goes one step past Landslide in expressing my feelings for you. My private feelings." Brittany says "What about him?" directing it at Brad, who is sitting at the piano. Santana says, "He's just furniture. Sorry. No offense. Hit it."

She then performs Songbird. Brittany is teary eyed and smiles at 

Santana during the song. Santana wipes away a tear at the end. Brittany says, "OK. So why couldn't you perform that to me in front of everyone? Now that Artie and I aren't together." Santana says, "No. Not yet. I'm not ready for that type of public announcement. Ever since that Muckraker thing people have already started treating me differently. I got ask to join the golf team." Brittany says, "Well what if I went first? Come on Fondue For Two. I'll ask you out to prom and I'll tell you how I feel and all you have to do is say yes." Santana agrees and they hug.

They are with the others in the choir room during Finn and Quinn's performance of I Don't Want To Know. They look at each other several times during the song. On Fondue For Two, Brittany says, looking depressed, "My guest today was supposed to be Santana but she texted about an hour ago and it just said I can't." They are with the others in the choir room during Rachel's Go Your Own Way performance. Santana looks over at Brittany a couple times. While getting questioned by Jacob, Santana is standing across from Brittany who is standing at her locker watching and listening. Santana says, "Look, all I can say is Dave and I are going strong and were very excited about our prom queen and king campaign. Vote Santofsky." Jacob says, "So you two are in love? Soulmates, so to speak?" Santana, looking at Brittany, says, "Yeah. I'd say that was accurate." Brittany looks very sad.

At the end, they are with the others in the choir room when Sam brings in his siblings. In the auditorium that dance and sing with the others to Don't Stop. Santana glances over at Brittany a few times during the song.

Prom Queen

Brittany walks in the choir room behind Santana who is talking to Lauren. Tina, Kurt, and Brittany are sitting waiting for Lauren and Santana to try on prom dresses. When Santana comes out Brittany is all smiles. Santana looks at her for approval, Brittany nods her head in approval and looks at her sweetly. Artie apologizes to Brittany by singing Isn't She Lovely. He asks her to prom and she declines. Brittany said if she ever broke up with Artie she would be with Santana, so her intentions seem to point to that she's waiting for Santana to be ready to be with her, and keeping herself available. She says I'm going to go to prom by myself and really work on me and dance with other people's dates. Brittany slow dances with another girl during Rachel's performance of Jar of Hearts.

After Santana loses prom queen to Kurt she goes off crying into an empty classroom. Brittany follows her. Santana says "how could my running mate win and I didn't? I mean just because I hate everyone, doesn't mean they have to hate me too." Brittany says "its just a stupid crown you can buy at the party store." Santana says "I get to be an outsider my whole life. Can't I just have one night where I'm queen? Where I'm accepted. as soon as we get to New York I'm bailing to live in a lesbian colony or Tribeca. They must have sensed I was a lesbian. I mean they must of. Do I smell like a golf course?"

Brittany says "they don't know what you're hiding. They just know you're not being yourself. If you were to embrace all the awesomeness that you are, you would have won." Santana says "how do you know?" Brittany says "because I voted for you and because I believe in you, Santana." Santana says "this prom sucks. Now what am I supposed to do?" Brittany says "go back out there and be there for Kurt. This is going to be a lot harder for him than it is for you." She then holds out a small pack of tissues for Santana. During Brittany's pep talk to Santana, she makes it clear to Santana that she believes in her and that she's waiting for her.

Funeral

They are with the others in the choir room when Mr. Schue says Jesse is going to be their consultant. They are with the others in the choir room when Finn and Kurt try to get the others to help with Jean's funeral. They perform Pure Imagination with the others at the funeral. They are sitting together in the choir room during the urgent meeting. At one point Santana has a shocked look on her face and Brittany glances over at her and smiles.

New York

While Finn and Rachel are talking about Jesse in the hotel lobby, you can see Brittany and Santana standing with Quinn in the background. They are with the others in the hotel room during the group meeting. When Brittany is singing My Cup, Santana is trying her best to not let Brittany see her laughing. They perform I Love New York/New York, New York with the others. They are walking together with their ice cream and pretzel. They get into a pillow fight on the hotel room bed with some of the other girls and Kurt. When Kurt wakes up Rachel, you can see where all the other girls are sleeping except for Brittany and Santana.

In the hotel room Brittany and Santana are standing outside the bathroom trying to get Quinn to come out so that Santana can re-pencil her eyebrows on. When Quinn comes out she tells Santana and Brittany that she is going to tell Mr. Schue that Rachel and Kurt keep sneaking off. Santana and Brittany manage to convince her not to do that. Santana tells Quinn that she understands that she is upset that Finn dumped her but that she needs to get over it so that they can concentrate on winning Nationals. Quinn angrily says that she doesn't care about a stupid show choir competition. Santana tells her that she should because glee club is something that they can all be proud of. Quinn says "aren't we the popular girls, so why can't we have our dreams come true?" which causes

Brittany and Santana to get uncomfortable and scoff at the remark. Quinn continues to say that besides them, every glee girl is in a relationship. At this Brittany and Santana get upset, and Brittany stares the floor, because they want to be together. Quinn then bursts into tears and Santana and Brittany immediately feel guilty for giving Quinn a hard time because they didn't realize how much the breakup had affected Quinn. They then comfort Quinn and Santana tells her she thinks she knows how to make Quinn feel better, to which Quinn responses "I'm flattered, Santana, but I'm really not that into that" thinking Santana meant a threesome. Santana looks mildly worried and confused before she corrects it and suggests a hair cut, to which Brittany agrees.

They are in the hotel room with the others when Mr. Schue brings in pizza. They join in the group hug. They sit together during the performances of Yeah! and As Long as You're There. Before Sunshine begins singing Santana looks over at Brittany. They sing back-up during Pretending. They perform Light Up The World with the others and look at each other several times during the performance. The first verse of the song is about their relationship "Hey-hey-hey You And Me Keep On Dancing In The Dark, It's Been Tearing Me Apart, Never Knowing What We Are. Hey-hey-hey You And Me Keep On Trying To Play It Cool, Now It's Time To Make A Move And That's What I'm Gonna Do. Lay It All Down, Got Something To Say, Lay It All Down, Throw Your Doubt Away, Do Or Die Now, Step Onto The Plate, Blow The Door Wide Open Like Up Up And Away." It has to do with Santana finally being ready to be with Brittany, that she's tired of being scared and not being with her is tearing her apart, also that its time she makes her move to be with her. During the song they can be seen looking at each other. They have their arms locked walking with the others to see where they placed.

Brittany walks up to Santana who is standing at their lockers holding a voodoo doll. Brittany says hey. You still pissed? Santana says do you think this voodoo doll looks enough like Rachel Berry to actually work? Brittany, smiling, says, "Come on. You can't be mad at Rachel forever." Santana says, "Uh, yes we can. How could you possibly be so calm?" Brittany says, "I don't know. I hated losing just as much as everyone but this year wasn't about winning for me." Santana says, "Clearly because we got our asses kicked." Brittany, looking annoyed, says, "Yeah." Santana says, "Sorry. What was it about?" Brittany says, "Acceptance. I know that all the kids in glee club they fight and they steal each others boyfriends and girlfriends and they threaten to quit like every other week but weird stuff like that happens in families." Santana says, "Yeah, well this is a club. This is not a family." Brittany says, "OK, well a family is a place where everyone loves you no matter what and they accept you for who you are. I know I'm going to be a bridesmaid at Mike and Tina's wedding and I'm going to be anxiously awaiting to see if there babies are Asian too. When they find an operation to make Artie's legs work again I'm going to be there for his first steps. I love them. I love everyone in glee club and I get to spend another year with everyone I love so I'm good."

Santana then says, "What about you and I?" Brittany responds, "I love you Santana. I love you more than I have ever loved anyone else in this world. All I know about you and I, is because of that, I think anything is possible." Santana hugs Brittany with a huge smile on her face and says, "You're my best friend." Brittany responds, "Me too." Suddenly, Santana's face changes from being overwhelmingly happy, to being noticeably upset. It seems as if Brittany reaffirming their friendship hurts her, because she doesn't want to be just "best friends." She lets go of Britt and gathers herself before Brittany can notice anything is wrong. She sticks up her pinky and Brittany wraps her pinky around Santana's. She says, "When did you get so smart?" Brittany smiles and they walk off. At the final glee meeting, the two of them are seen talking to Artie, all smiles.

Season Three

In Season Three, Brittany and Santana's relationship was explored more.

The Purple Piano Project

Brittany walks up in the middle of Santana's interview with Jacob and interrupts, they walk off smiling with their arms locked. Jacob ask Brittany what her plans for the future are and they both pause while she ask him if he's working on a time machine too. They are sitting together in the choir room when Mr. Schue is talking about the trophies, before he brings in the pianos. While talking to Quinn during

cheerleading practice, Santana looks lovingly at Brittany when the latter tells Quinn that they were the Three Musketeers. They are sitting across from each other in the cafeteria right before they perform We Got the Beat. During We Got the Beat, Santana and Brittany are holding hands and run up and dance together on the tables, and at the end, Santana turns around and says something to Brittany. They are also looking at each other lovingly throughout the song. During the following food fight Santana can be heard screeching Brittany's name. Brittany looks to be protecting Santana by throwing food back while Santana hides behind her. They are sitting together in the choir room after the food fight. Brittany says she has pepperoni down her bra and Santana tells her that those are her nipples. Santana, with the help of the Cheerios, catch the piano on fire at the end of Blaine's performance of It's Not Unusual. Mr. Schue kicks Santana out the glee club for her involvement in destroying the piano, and Brittany watches her leave with a sad look on her face, and remains sad for the rest of meeting til the performance in the auditorium.

I Am Unicorn

Brittany and Santana are both seen hanging up Kurt's campaign posters and Kurt tells them he doesn't like them. Santana gets angry and tells him, "This is toned down, In the original the unicorn was riding you." When he walks away, Santana comforts her sweetly by saying, "This campaign is brilliant. If he doesn't get it, then he doesn't deserve to have you as his campaign manager. There's no one like you. You're a genius Brittany; you are the unicorn." She then walks away smiling with Brittany standing there, also smiling. Later in the episode, Brittany tells Kurt that she is a "bi-corn"; implying Brittany has come out as a bisexual. She also says that Santana is helping her later with her own campaign posters. They are also seen wearing their friendship bracelets in this episode.

Asian F

Santana returns to the glee club. Santana is backing Brittany to Rachel and Kurt stating why Brittany should be class president. Brittany and Santana are walking down the halls together when they announce the Run the World (Girls) flashmob. When Brittany starts singing, Santana stares at her with a smile on her face. She also holds the door open for her as Brittany dances down the hall and into the choir room. Then, in the gymnasium she joins in, vocalizing a little before singing, "You'll do anything for me." She doesn't seem to take her eyes off of her the entire song.

During It's All Over, Santana tells Mercedes off for insulting Brittany. Mercedes told Santana that she's knocking off that piece who thinks she's better than everybody running for president and that she ain't nothing but common. Before singing Santana smiles at Brittany. They are seen sitting together during Mercedes and Rachel's diva-off. At the end of the performance Santana is saying something to Brittany. When the posted cast list for West Side Story shows that Santana got the role of Anita, she is happy and Brittany is right next to her smiling. They are standing/singing beside each other during Fix You and are seen in the background talking and smiling while Rachel looks at the list.

Pot O' Gold

Santana has a sign in her locker that says "Lord Tubbington thinks you are Purrrrfect. and so do I." Mercedes asks Santana to join Shelby's choir, but she says she won't leave without Brittany. Brittany and

Santana later go to Breadstix together. While there, Santana questions their relationship and asks if they're dating. Brittany asks her if

dinner and taking baths together count as dating so they can became official. When Brittany mentions Rory being a leprechaun, Santana tells her if she had a wish she'd wish that Brittany goes to Shelby's choir with her. Brittany says she doesn't want to be known as a quitter but she'll think about it and then Santana reveals if she had another wish she wants to hold Brittany's hand. They hold hands, but Santana asks to cover it up with a napkin.

When Blaine is singing Last Friday Night, he puts his arm around Brittany and he pulls her back. Santana looks angry and grabs Brittany by the hand and pulls her up to their seats. Santana sits mad the rest of the performance while the others dance and sing along. Brittany goes and sits next to Santana after the song. Santana gets mad that Blaine and Rachel are going to get all the solos and walks out. Santana confronts Rory at his locker and says here's the deal pixie boy. You've got a crush on my girl Brittany. I understand. She's beautiful, she's innocent, she's everything that's good in this miserable stinking world. Later on, Brittany reveals she's leaving New Directions to join Shelby's group to the dismay of Finn and he calls her an idiot. Brittany puts Finn in his place and walks off, Santana smirks at Finn with a proud look, and jogs to catch up with Brittany.

Shelby names them "The Troubletones" and they perform Candyman with Mercedes and Sugar. Throughout the performance, Santana and Brittany can be seen looking at each other with a smile on their face. At the end they are seen rehearsing together with the rest of The Troubletones. They are together when Finn approached them and when Rory did as well. When Finn apologizes to Brittany for calling her an idiot and hugs her. Santana looks slightly upset while Brittany hugs Finn and looks away, as they walk away from Finn, Mercedes tells Santana "be nice," to which she says "no." Rory calls for Brittany from down the hall, Brittany looks annoyed and rolls her eyes as she turns to face him. Santana looks pissed when Rory wants his pot of gold. Brittany tells him she now realizes there is no such thing as leprechauns and storms off. Santana has a pained look on her face as Brittany leaves and edges to follow her, but she turns back to Rory with a satisfied look on her face as she tells him off. Brittany is wearing her friendship bracelet in the scene where Rory tells her of Santana's wish.

The First Time

During Rachel's emergency sex meeting they are together. Brittany glares at Santana when Rachel brings up the Madonna lesson, where Santana slept with Finn. They are also both in the musical.

Mash Off

At the beginning of Hot For Teacher during the dream like sequence, Brittany and Santana are sitting next to each other and dancing together. Brittany is wearing her friendship bracelet while handing out balloons and promising robot teachers and root beer fountains. During Shelby and Will's mash-up performance of You and I/You and I they are seen glancing at each other several times and pointing at each other. In the next scene, just as they get up from

their desks, Brittany can be seen reaching behind her and grabbing what seems to be a crumpled up note off of Santana's desk and as they are leaving class together, Santana grabs on to Brittany's shoulder. They are walking together past Finn and Rory when Santana refers to Finn as "orca." In response, Finn makes a comment to Santana stopping them and they laugh together at it. Then Rory tries to comment as well but Santana says "That is the lamest thing I didn't understand a word of" and Brittany cosigns saying "Not one word." During Hit Me With Your Best Shot/One Way or Another the dodgeball game they are together a few times. In the next scene, The Troubletones are all together and they are standing next to each other. Brittany is all about Santana in the scene, she doesn't take her eyes off her. When Mercedes elects herself leader of the group Santana disagrees, everyone votes for Mercedes except for Brittany, who quickly thinks of a reason to stay loyal to Santana. Mercedes tells Santana to stop fighting with Finn and focus on their group. Santana objects which leads to her and Mercedes arguing about it and Brittany sings "stop the violence" to Santana, and exchanging cute loving looks. Santana gives in because of Brittany and agrees to play nice. Santana

goes to apologize to Finn but only insults him even more. This leads to him outing her in front of a crowd of people calling her a coward and accusing her of being scared that "Brittany might not love [her] back." Before New Directions perform Santana is watching Brittany do a headstand in the background. During the New Directions mash-up of I Can't Go For That/You Make My Dreams they are sitting together. Santana listens intently as Brittany does her presidential speech, showing her support.

They are seen walking together when Becky approaches them to tell Santana that Sue wants to see her in her office. In Sue's office, Burt, Will and Sue show Santana a video of an attack ad that a congressional candidate running against Sue and Burt made. The video states that Santana is a lesbian, therefore outing her publicly. Santana cries, saying that she hasn't even told her parents yet. Burt and Will try to offer Santana support, but she runs out of Sue's office crying and down the hall. The next scene is the Troubletones performance of Rumour Has It/Someone Like You, during which Santana and Brittany give each other glances. Although visibly upset, Santana looks at Brittany when singing the line "I heard that you settled down, that you found a girl and you're married now" and inwardly smiles a little. She looks to Brittany several times throughout the performance and at the end they both look upset and on the verge of crying. Coming close to the end of the song you can see Finn whispering to Rachel a few times. Santana jumps off the stage immediately after the performance wanting to know what Finn said to Rachel. Finn praised The Troubletones' performance, but she thought that he was lying to her. She blames Finn for outing her to "everyone" and slaps him. Brittany is shown in the back also looking extremely upset.

I Kissed a Girl

Finn keeps Santana from getting suspended by saying she fake slapped him. In return, he wants both glee groups to join together for a lesson. While Finn is talking to the New Directions and The Troubletones about Lady Music Week, Brittany and Santana are sitting next to each other. When Brittany sees Santana's reaction to Finn's idea she rubs her back comforting her, at one point she has her arm around her. During Finn's speech to Santana he says to her "Everybody in this room knows about you and Brittany." While Kurt and Blaine talk to Santana and perform Perfect, Brittany is still rubbing Santana's back to comfort her and they are shown holding hands right after Blaine's rap. During I'm the Only One, they are shown sitting together and there is a little interaction between them towards the end of the performance, Brittany tells Santana something. Finn goes up to talk to Santana telling her he's afraid she will die and he's worried about her. In her locker you can see several pictures of her and Brittany.

When Finn is singing Girls Just Wanna Have Fun to Santana, during the part where he sings "some boys take a beautiful girl and hide her away from the rest of the world" Santana turns and looks at Brittany, smiling. Brittany is looking lovingly at Santana when she thanks Finn and hugs him.

During the voting for the student council election they are being interviewed by Jacob and Santana has a "Vote for Brittany" badge pinned to her Cheerios uniform. Santana says "I'm team Britt all the way" while Brittany says "I'm voting for the hockey player"; Santana corrects her, telling Jacob "No she's not." They are shown giggling in the background while Jacob is talking to the cameraman and Santana kisses Brittany's cheek. When they show the voting Mercedes refers to Brittany as Santana's girlfriend and when Santana votes she puts a heart next to Brittany's name instead of a checkmark and then kisses it before putting it in the box. Later, a rugby player is taunting Santana, the girls of New Directions and The Troubletones come to her defense. The rugby player says "Easy girls, I'm just trying to make her normal," to which Brittany fiercely replies in Santana's defense "She is normal," and Santana looks back at Brittany. This leads to the performance of I Kissed a Girl, during which they dance and stare at each other through most of the song. Santana is still wearing the "Vote for Brittany" pin during the song. Brittany stares sweetly at Santana when she sings it's not what I'm used to. After the song ends Santana updates them by telling them that she told her parents and they seem to be accepting, but she still needs to tell her abuela.

Brittany is right behind her showing support. Santana comes out to her grandma saying "When I'm with Brittany, I finally understand what people are talking about when they're talking about love," but her Grandma rejects her and tells her never to return. Brittany says that's right when Mr. Schuester Santana to bring them home. Brittany stares at Santana the entire song. When Santana sings "always someone marches brave" she smiles as she directs it to Brittany, meaning that she is the brave one in their relationship, and Brittany smiles back at Santana. After Constant Craving, Brittany jumps up to Santana with a hug and whispered "that was so beautiful" in her ear. Santana replied by saying "Thank you." When Rachel walks into the choir room crying, they are shown holding hands.

Hold on to Sixteen

They are seen walking in with the rest of the The Troubletones and offer New Directions a contingency plan. They are sitting together during the Unitards performance. When they are performing Survivor/I Will Survive with The Troubletones, when Santana sings "I could never live without you by my side" she looks over at Brittany, also they pair off and dance together during the performance. During the New Directions performance, they are sitting together and dancing during Man in the Mirror. They stand frozen with the rest of The Troubletones after they lose.

Later on they are in the bathroom and Santana is helping Brittany with her make-up. When Quinn starts talking to them about graduation Santana and Brittany glance at each other. Santana taps Brittany's legs to get her to hold her hand when Quinn says she wants them to all be able to look back and remember this as the best time of their lives. Brittany takes her hand and they hold hands intertwining fingers. At the end during We Are Young, they come in to the auditorium along with Mercedes and Sugar. Santana looks over at Brittany sweetly when she sings We Are Young, Brittany looks back at her lovingly. They are hands holding when they are singing "set this world on fire, we can burn brighter." They are with the rest of the group huddled up chanting with excitement at the end.

Extraordinary Merry Christmas

During All I Want for Christmas Is You by Mercedes, Santana and Brittany are seen goofing off together . When Mike busts through the wrapping paper and scares Brittany, Santana is looking at her with a huge smile on her face. Santana does a little dance, which looked similar to a bunny hop or referred to by some as a penguin, towards Brittany and they both are all smiles. They continue to dance and sing with the others for the rest of the song. When Rory is singing Blue Christmas, Santana looks sad, like she is thinking about her grandmother. When the song is over, she says the song was so depressing, she thought she died. They are sitting together when Rachel sings River in the auditorium. They are also sitting together, singing, and dancing while Blaine and Rachel sing Extraordinary Merry Christmas. At one point Santana reaches her hand out to Brittany and they go dance while the song continues. At the end of the song Santana says something to Brittany. They are pictured with the rest of the Cheerios during the introduction of The Glee Holiday Spectacular. They come into Blaine and Kurt's house with the rest of the Cheerios, Mike, and Tina.

Brittany sings Christmas Wrapping while the others sing along and twirl ribbons. Santana glances over at Brittany several times during the performance. They go sit together on the couch during Rory's reading of the Christmas story. They are seen sitting and Brittany has both her hands rested on Santana's right thigh. Santana has her left hand on Brittany's and her right hand on Brittany's inner thigh. Brittany runs her thumb down Santana's, and as the shot tilts up. Santana seems to be zoned out and then refocuses on the story. As they zoom out, Brittany rests her head on Santana's. They are seen standing and singing together at the homeless shelter to Do They Know It's Christmas?. When Santana sings the line "is life," she looks over at Brittany with a huge smile on her face.

Yes/No

At the beginning of the episode, Brittany is seen walking with two lunches and two milk cartoons on her tray and Santana looks up as she walks

over, hinting that the lunch is for both of them. During Summer Nights, Santana was seen looking at Brittany a couple times and when Santana pushed Rachel off the bench, you can see Brittany pointing a finger at her as if to scold her. After Santana asks "how much dough did he spend" she, and Brittany who is kneeling on the ground, sweetly stare at each other as Mercedes walks off. During The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, their flashback is shown in the Cheerio's locker room after practice, Santana closes her locker and looks over at Brittany next to her. Brittany smiles at Santana, blushes and takes a sip of water, and then Santana's glance lingers for a while and she smiles back at Brittany. The promo also showed Brittany walking off to take a shower and stopping, looking at Santana and smiling before walking off. In Without You, Brittany is seen staring at Santana, and than Brittany and Santana are shown holding hands.

Michael

Both are seen walking together supposedly to class while discussing on

the topic of them missing on singing Michael. They both shared a sweet smile when requesting Will if they could do Michael for the week. Later on, Santana yells to Brittany to "Lock the door" to which Brittany said "I don't know how." They are seen sitting together in the multiple choir room scenes and dancing next to each other in many songs. Little Interactions can also be seen between them in those choir scenes but were only short lived. Santana then waits for Brittany after a discussion between the New Directions to leave the choir room together, walking closely together.

The Spanish Teacher

When Will is talking to the Glee Club about learning to speak Spanish, Brittany says "Ooh, I'm bilingual" (mixing it up with bisexual, and third base). Brittany and Santana are seen cuddling during Don't Wanna Lose You, Brittany has her head on Santana's shoulder and Santana's arm is around Brittany and they are holding hands. During the boys mash-up, they are sitting together. Santana is supportive of Brittany after the cheerio's routine, she can be heard cheering and clapping at the end. When Santana is by her locker and Sue talks to her, you see three photos of her and Brittany. Brittany seems supportive of Santana after La Isla Bonita, during some parts of the performance you can see Brittany leaning forward in her seat to watch Santana, even after when Santana is talking to the group she is on the edge of her seat. Brittany is also the first to stand up to clap.

Heart

When Will walks into the class, they are seen wrapped around each other by the waist supposedly dancing with one another while conversing. They are both seem to look overjoyed with this action. When the glee lesson starts, they are seen sitting closely together on the stool placed near them. While sitting next to each other, Brittany positions herself towards Santana rather than the class to indicate her wanting to be as close to her as possible.

Brittany meets Santana by her locker with her laptop and shows the playlist she's made for her for Valentine's Day. Santana smiles at the gesture in adoration as the playlist contains a list of songs Brittany dedicates every time they spend their moments together and every time she thinks about her. The playlist also shows a picture of the cuddled up wrapped around in a love heart shape. They ponder on the playlist and cover closely together in which Santana thanks her for. You can also see a rose in Santana's locker, either from Brittany to Santana or from Santana to Brittany, in which she's going to give later.

They proceed to kiss but are cut off due to the interruption of Figgins, who calls them into his office saying that he's gotten complaints after they kissed in the halls the previous day. Santana proceeds to argue with Figgins saying that all she wants to do is kiss her girlfriend in public and leaves with Brittany sitting there in sadness.When Finn and Rachel are announcing their engagement, Brittany is seen sitting in front of Santana with her right arm resting on Santana's left knee, even though there is an empty seat right beside Santana. After Stereo Hearts, Santana tells Joe she wants to hire them to sing a song to her girlfriend girlfriend, and Joe just looked shocked. During Home, they are seen sitting together again closely, wearing matching socks. Brittany takes Santana's hand out of her pocket and loops it around with hers in which Santana happily accepts. During the song, Santana stares upon Brittany in which she delivers a smile and is welcomed back returning the favor back. Towards the end of the song, they are seen holding each other's hands grazing upon the soft melody. While Mercedes' performance of I Will Always Love You, Brittany can briefly be seen with her arm around Santana's back.

At Sugar's Valentine's Day party,they are sitting next to each other at their own table at Breadstix, where Santana feeds Brittany a chocolate. Later Joe accepts Santana's request for a song to be sung dedicated to Brittany saying "love is love man." When finding out that she was being sung to, Brittany is seen in disbelief that Santana would message her Valentine in song. The God Squad sing Cherish/Cherish. During the song, they are seen gazing upon into each other while holding hands in happiness. Santana is seen kissing Brittany's knuckles. Then she grabs Brittany's hand and points to the dance floor for them to go dance together. Towards the end of the song, you can see Brittany mouths something ending in "Thank you." to Santana before kissing passionately in front of the crowd.

On My Way

Brittany and Santana are seen walking in the Lima Bean together and Brittany is standing behind Santana while talking to Sebastian. They are later seen sitting next to each other in the auditorium and Brittany's hand is besides Santana's. As Fly/I Believe I Can Fly finishes Brittany and Santana are seen holding hands. As Rachel finishes Here's To Us Brittany glances over to Santana smiling. As the results are being read, Brittany is behind Santana and they are holding hands. They are also seen sitting next to each other in brides maid dresses while waiting for Quinn to arrive at the wedding.

Big Brother

Brittany and Santana are seen sitting together in the choir room as Quinn and Artie sing I'm Still Standing. They both hug Quinn after the song. In the library, they are seen walking there hand in hand. After at the amusement park they run off the bus and to the amusement parks, hand in hand, even riding the roller coaster like that.

Saturday Night Glee-ver

While Brittany was dancing on stage in You Should Be Dancing, Santana can be seen in awe, and at one part she can briefly be seen pointing at Brittany. During Night Fever, when Santana goes up to dance, Brittany can be seen pointing at her. When they were performing Disco Inferno, they continually glance at each other. At the end they smile at each other before Mercedes starts talking. While performing, If I Can't Have You, Santana is seen making glances at Brittany, and even singing it to her, and Brittany is seen crying after. When Will tells her that he see's where she was going with the song, and it was more than a love song to Brittany, but about how she wants marriage equality. Santana says, "Yeah Brittany will always be my girlfriend" and Brittany says "score." But the song was really about how she can't live without fame, and will do anything to get it. Brittany takes this seriously, and looks determined to help Santana get to her dream of fame.

Later, Brittany approaches Santana in the hallway and tells her that she released the sex tape they made called "Two Girls, One Cat." A shocked Santana tells her that the sex tape was for them only and was supposed to be private. Brittany then tells her that she spliced it together with a homemade video of Lord Tubbington doing household chores, and that her intention was to make her famous, and says she's really excited about it, then leaves while Santana remains speechless. In the Library, Brittany walks up to Santana, suggesting ways for her to get famous, including going on reality TV shows such as Hoarders and Fear Factor. When Santana refuses all her ideas, Brittany tells her to let her know how far she will go to get her fame, then kisses her cheek and leaves with a mischievous look on her face. After that, when Finn sings More Than a Womanto Rachel, Brittany and Santana are seen dancing together.

And lastly, Brittany and Santana are sitting in Sue's office. Sue is saying that's she's disappointed. Not in the fact she wants to be famous, but that she doesn't care how. Santana says that she does want to make something of her life, and she does want to go to college. Sue then pulls out an acceptance letter to the University of Louisville and Santana thanks Sue for it, but Sue says it was all Brittany's idea, which makes it appear that Brittany was trying to push her to make the right decision all along. Santana turns to Brittany, telling her that even though that it might not be 100% the answer for her, she's happy that someone believes in her as much as Brittany does. Then they tell each other they both love one another so much.

Brittany whoots at Santana when she walks in wearing the white polyester suit. During part of the final performance of Stayin' Alive, Brittany and Santana are facing each other, Santana pretends to shoot Brittany, who then pretends to get shot. Santana can be seen laughing as they move on in the performance.

Dance with Somebody

Brittany starts singing I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me), Santana can be seen laughing, clapping and cheering and is shown to be thoroughly into the performance. When she sings "And when the night falls, my lonely heart calls," she points to Santana before she starts pulling up people to "dance with her," rejects them and moves on to the next. Eventually she comes to Santana, who she approaches slower and more lovingly, takes her by both hands and leads her down to the floor, singing "with somebody who loves me." Then they start singing it in the auditorium, singing the song to each other, and they then hug at the end. Then Brittany says in front of Mr. Schue and their friends that obviously she likes to dance with Santana best. Also the lyrics were changed to the female pronouns from Whitney's original "somebody to hold me in his arms... I need a man who'll take a chance" to "somebody to hold me in her arms... I need a woman who'll take a chance." Later,Rachel and Santana then sing So Emotional, and Santana sings it towards Brittany, looking at her while she sings and pointing at her as Brittany records them singing and dancing. In the bathroom scene with Quinn, they are seen sharing a mirror and Brittany comments "I don't know, Joe's really pretty... But I heard she doesn't shave her armpits." Lastly, During My Love Is Your Love, Santana is seen pulling Brittany up to the auditorium as they hold hands, they dance holding hands, and are then seen pointing at each other during the song.

Choke

Santana is seen standing by the lockers when Brittany approaches the girls and says she came from her first Student Council meeting and tells them she has to come up with a theme for prom. When they see Beiste with bruises on her face, Santana then proceeds to make comments about it. Coach Roz overhears these comments and approaches the girls. She tells them that they are wrong and that they should not joke about domestic violence. Later Santana and Brittany are seen sitting next to each other in the choir room.In the auditorium Santana and Brittany along with Tina, Sugar and Mercedes perform Cell Block Tango while Sue, Beiste and Coach Roz watches. Later in the choir room they apologize to Beiste for the insensitive comments they made and then they sing Shake it Out. During Shake it Out Brittany can be seen staring at Santana as she is singing.

Prom-asaurus

Brittany and Santana are seen with their reactions to being nominated prom king and queen. Brittany looks surprised and Santana looks proud. When Brittany announces the theme, Santana calls it brilliant while the others are unsure of the idea. When Rachel is announcing the anti-prom, Santana says she just wants to go to prom with her girlfriend and points to Brittany behind her. After Dinosaur, Santana gives Brittany a thumbs up as she bows with the other cheerleaders. During Love You Like a Love Song, Santana is seen singing "Constantly, girl you play through my mind" and looking at Brittany throughout the song.

After Blaine, Kurt and everyone else arrive, Santana pulls Brittany to dance to What Makes You Beautiful and they dance together throughout the entire song and you see that they gave each other corsages. While tallying the votes, Santana is surprised by how few votes Brittany got and Quinn comments that it's probably because she's a girl. Santana admits she doesn't wanna be queen if Brittany isn't king, showing how much they care about each other since last year, Santana wanted to win more than anything in the world and now it doesn't matter. Brittany is seen cheering when Santana is called up to the stage with the other nominees. During Take My Breath Away, Brittany is seen off to the side, not dancing with anyone because Santana is singing. Brittany signs "I love you" (draws a heart over her face) to Santana, who winks and then it shows them together in their prom photo.

Props

Santana and Brittany (both played by Artie and Mercedes respectively) are seen sitting next to each other in Because You Loved Me. During the song, they are seen placing their heads on top of each other embracing the song and then linking pinkies and giving each other a peck. Santana and Brittany, along with Mercedes goes to see Beiste to warn her about her reunion with Cooter to which they all disagree with and request for her to come to nationals with them to clear her mind.

Nationals

Brittany and Santana are both seen looking after Mercedes when she falls sick. During Paradise by the Dashboard Light when Santana and Brittany sing their line, they face each other do synchronized moves for a second and Santana lays her head on Brittany's hand. After having confetti thrown at them when the New Directions walked into the school, Brittany can be seen holding onto Santana's arm and during Tongue Tied, they are seen kissing in the hallway in front of everyone.

Goodbye

Brittany and Santana are seen sitting next to each other as Will sings Forever Young and we see Santana lean over on Brittany, though it pans away shortly before you see this. Brittany and Santana are seen having dinner, at Breadstix, with Santana's mother in which Santana reveals she doesn't want to go to Kentucky and when Brittany is asked about university, she says she's not graduating due to her low grades and says she's actually going to go to class next year. Upon hearing this Santana is upset Brittany didn't tell her and that she doesn't want to go to college if Brittany isn't. Later the graduating members of New Directions sing You Get What You Give to all the non-graduating members, Santana walks up to Brittany and hugs her, dragging her up to the front with everyone else as they dance around them. At graduation, when she's walking up to receive her diploma, Santana hugs Brittany before walking up to the stage.

Santana's mother walks up to Santana and gives her money that she was saving up to help pay for Santana to go to college. Since Santana doesn't want to go to college, she tries to give her mother the money back, but her mother told her to use it for New York and that she will support her decision. Santana hugs her mother then looks at a photo of her and Brittany sitting in the choir room and smiles slightly. They are seen standing next to each other at the train station.

Season Four

The New Rachel

Santana does not appear in this episode, because she is away at college. Brittany only mentions Santana once while she is at the Lima Bean talking to Blaine. Brittany says that Santana is very busy with Cheerleading, and that it's hard to make out on Skype or scissor over a webcam.

Britney 2.0

Brittany and Santana are skyping. Santana says she is sorry about Sue being mean to Brittany and that she wishes she could be with Brittany to make it all better. They talked for a few seconds before Santana had to leave for cheerleading practice. Before she left, Brittany offered Santana a 'scissor skype' session later. Santana leaving so soon resulted in a sad Brittany. Throughout the episode Brittany is seen missing Santana terribly. This was highlight when Brittany and Sam were talking in the auditorium. She basically says Santana was the only one who understood her and she would always defend her. She tells Sam that she ."..misses her best friend." Brittany also made a drawing of her and Santana in Happyville, Brittany's made up mathless world.

By the end of the episode while Marley is singing Everytime, Brittany is seen lying on her bed looking forlorn while staring at her computer screen which shows that Santana is offline and not available for iChat or video chat.

The Break-Up

Santana is shown back in Lima, doing laundry with Brittany, in Santana’s room. She is talking about Kurt’s internship in New York and how it doesn’t make sense that he got it. When Santana finishes ranting about it Brittany mentions that Santana could follow her dream too, since her mom gave her that money to go to New York in Goodbye.

Santana however says that she likes being in college and she being a cheerleader, plus she likes to be closer to where Brittany lives. Brittany seems confused to as why Santana has to come back to Lima to do laundry, Santana replies that she heard a rumor the first week that all the water in Louisville is just purified runoff from the Kentucky derby stables. She also promised herself that she would do her laundry at home because then she would get to see Brittany. Santana leans forward and they share a quick kiss. Brittany starts to yawn and Santana asks if she is okay. Brittany says that she was up late the night before reading ‘Desecration: Antichrist Takes the Throne (Left Behind No. 9)’. Santana mentions how intense those books are and asks what teacher is making her read it. Brittany replies that it is a club, not a class and she tells Santana that she should come to it tomorrow.

Santana and Brittany are shown sitting next to each other in a booth at breadstix. They are attending Rapture-based Lef

t Behind club and Kitty is running it. Kitty tells Dottie (Tina’s assistant) that there is someone that needs her help in the bathroom. Brittany starts to stand up and tells Santana that they should go help Dottie. Santana looks confused and then realizes what’s going on and tries to stop Brittany. The club tricks Dottie into thinking she has been left behind and when she comes back it looks like everyone is gone. Brittany and Santana enter the room and Santana asks Brittany if they can go home. Santana also says that she doesn’t think this club is good for Brittany. Brittany refuses to leave, and she says being left behind sucks. Santana looks confused and mentions that it’s just a stupid prank. Brittany however upon hearing this tells Santana that she doesn’t get it, that Santana left her behind and it hurt her. Behind Brittany Dottie is shown hyperventilating and freaking out. Brittany says that’s exactly what being left behind felt like.

Later, Santana is sitting in the back of the choir room and Brittany comes in. Santana starts to talk as Brittany walks up to where she is sitting. Santana tells her that in her sophomore year she would sit in the back row and count how many times Brittany smiled at her, and she would die on days that she didn’t. Brittany keeps looking at Santana as she keeps talking, Santana tells Brittany that she misses it there and it’s where they fell in love and where she could say things with music. Brittany then sits down a chair away from Santana. Santana then says that she needs to tell Brittany something that she doesn’t know how to say. Santana then proceeds to sing a slow version of Mine to Brittany. At the end of it they are both in tears. When it finishes Brittany says, “Wow, sad songs make me really sad and I don’t want to be sad.” Santana then tells her that she hasn’t been a good girlfriend to Brittany and she can’t just come home and pretend like things are the same anymore. Santana explains that she doesn’t want to be in one of those long distance relationships where they cheat on each other and then break up. Brittany says she would never cheat of Santana. Santana says she knows that and she wouldn’t ever cheat on Brittany either. Santana then tells Brittany that she had an ‘energy exchange’ with someone else. There is a flashback of Santana studying in the library and turning around. There is another girl looking at Santana and she smiles at Santana, who smiles back. The flashback ends and Santana’s voice break

s as she admitted that she had an attraction. She says that Brittany may have also had one with someone, or might have one. Santana sits in the chair right next to Brittany and takes her hands. She tells Brittany they should just do the mature thing, and it’s not an official break up but they should be honest that long distance relationships are almost impossible because both people don’t get what they really need.  Brittany starts shaking her head and a few tears start to come down her face again. She tells Santana that it sounds a lot like a break up to her. Santana shakes her head and says they both know that it isn’t working out at all because of the long distance relationship thing. She then leans forward slightly and says, “You know I will always love you the most.” Brittany looks broken  and Santana leans forward even more and kisses Brittany. She then hugs her and as they hug Brittany breaks down crying more and tells Santana that she loves her too.

The episode ends in a group number of The Scientist. Brittany and Santana both have parts in it and stand next to each other on the stage while singing. There is a flashback to the last Valentine's Day, of them being so happy together.

Glease

Santana comes back to play Rizzo in the play Grease. She is shown in the choir room accepting the role and the whole time Brittany is seen smiling at Santana and when Joe question Santana about why she is back, Brittany shuts him down saying that "The important thing is that she is here, so the show can go on." They both are back up to Blaine during Beauty School Drop Out and are seen dancing during it.

Later, Santana is getting ready to sing There Are Worse Things I Could Do. Brittany comes up to her and puts her hands on her shoulders. She then sits down next to Santana and says hello and Santana says hi back. Then Brittany said she's glad Santana's back and that she misses her. Santana replies that she misses Brittany too and that the only reason she decided to do the play was to see Brittany. Brittany tells her that she isn’t dating anyone, boy or girl, and Santana tells her it would be fine if she does but that she's happy that Brittany is still single. They look into each other's eyes until they were interrupted by Mike. He comes up to tell Santana that she has to go on in a minute. Brittany asks her if she is nervous about singing. Santana says she isn’t and that it should be easy, like during the song America. Brittany states that it's supposed to be a sad performance, then looks thoughtful and says to Santana that she should think about how they aren’t together anymore and that it’s sad, especially on Fridays because that was their date night.

She wishes Santana good luck and touches her back as she goes past her. Santana looks sad after Brittany says that. On stage, Santana sings There Are Worse Things I Could Do, and is obviously thinking about Brittany. During the last line of the song she looks over to the side of the stage where Brittany is standing. They both maintain eye contact for a second and look sad.

During Rachel’s fantasy of You're the One That I Want, Brittany and Santana are dancing and singing together, and looking like a couple again. Santana can be clearly seen running across the stage to be with Brittany. Their last word they sing, while looking at each other: "Honey." So sweet. They are both in the choir room at the end of the episode, listening attentively to Will's farewell speech.

Thanksgiving

Santana says that nobody in Glee could do the complex cheorography "except for Britt," and grins at her, Brittany

smiles back. They sing back-up for Quinn in Come See About Me, and share looks and smiles during the song. When Santana and Quinn slap each other in the choir room after a confrontation, Brittany enters and spots them and stops the feud by saying "What are you guys doing?" before it carries on. 

Swan Song

In Swan Song, Santana doesn't appear, but when Sam and Brittany's relationship grows close and Sam is about to kiss Brittany, she says she can't because the worldwide lesbian bloggers may go after Sam if they find out about Brittany and Santana's break-up. (This may refer to the Brittana fans who dislike their relationship.). Later, Brittany admits that ever since Santana left, he is the only one who makes her smile.

Glee, Actually

When Brittany is standing by her open locker you can see the drawing that Santana used to have in hers saying "Lord Tubbington thinks you're puuurrfect, so do i."

Diva

Santana comes back to Lima to perform Nutbush City Limits in Diva week and because she heard from Tina through a call that Brittany and Sam are dating. When she walks into the choir room, Brittany looks very surprised but her look changes during the performance. After the song Brittany congratulates Santana for what was "the best moment in show business history" and Santana confronts Brittany with the fact that she didn't tell her that she's dating Sam and then introduces her new girlfriend Elaine and gives her a peck on the lips, Brittany does not look very happy about this, and probably displays a look of jealousy.

Later in the auditorium Santana confronts Sam and both have a sing-off fighting for Brittany with Make No Mistake, She's Mine. At the end of their duel Sam tells Santana to let go of Brittany which she replays with a determinate "Never." Brittany is in the back of the auditorium watching the last notes of the song and Santana and Sam's conversation. The next time we see Santana, she is at Sue's office because the coach was told about Santana dropping out of college a month ago due to other students finding her a bitch when all she was doing was being brutally honest with people. Sue offers Santana a job taking over The Cheerios which Santana wants to take so that she can be closer to Brittany.

Later on Santana finds Brittany alone in the auditorium and she says that she isn't going to dump Sam. Santana says that she wasn't expecting Brittany to date her again because she's taken,

she just want Britt to aim higher. But Brittany replies that she knows that she paid Elaine off to be her girlfriend and that she dropped out of school. She then says that she thinks that Santana should follow her dreams, go to New York and find a new girlfriend but not a best friend because that spot is already taken by her. Santana said to Brittany "You are my best friend" and calls her a "genius" again. They hug and share a kiss. Brittany leaves the auditorium and Santana watches and looks sad. After that Santana is seen leaving the auditorium and walking down the hallways while singing Girl On Fire. She sees Brittany in the hallway before leaving McKinley.

I Do

At Will and Emma's wedding, Santana mutters that the wedding hasn't even started and she's so over it, glancing over at Brittany and Sam, the couple waving hello at Santana. At the reception party, whenever Santana talks about lovers and dancing, she would give a sad, sentimental glance at Brittany and Sam together. 

All or Nothing

After an interview with MIT, who granted Brittany an early and immediate admission; she starts acting diva-ish and has a set of demands based on her new confidence. Brittany dumps Sam via text message, claiming that she prefers and misses her "sweet lady kisses." Sam calls Santana because she is the only one who can help Brittany and also the one who understands her the best. He explains that Brittany has been acting really weird over the past few days.

We see Santana back in Ohio, on Fondue For Two with Brittany and Lord Tubbington and as Brittany introduces her as her former "lady lover," Santana gives to the camera a little smile. During this part you can see the words "Brittana is real" at the botton of the screen. Brittany thanks her again for taking the Lima Express all the way from New York City to be there, Santana replies that she actually came to Ohio because she wanted to talk to Brittany, not to do a show. They start a true or false game and Brittany asks about Santana's roommates, Kurt and Rachel and their activities in NY, but Santana replies that it's false and she wishes they were at least that exciting; after this Santana replies that's enough and turns the camera off. Brittany asks her what is she doing, Santana tells her to stop and asks what is going with her, Brittany is acting like a completely different person and that's making her sad. Brittany tells her to get over it because "sad is stupid" and Santana replies that she still cares about her and that she is not being herself. Brittany says that what she is about to tell is going to change everything.

Before the New Directions' Regionals performance, Brittany tells to the Glee Club that she has something to say, Santana gives her a sad look. Brittany tells her about her admission to MIT and starts talking about all the people that are in the room. At the end, obviously saving the best for last, in tears, she goes to Santana and hugs her tighly; she stars sobbing harder and Santana looks like she is holding back tears and trying to not make things even harder than it already is, Santana tells her she doesn't need to say anything. After all, actions speaks louder than words. Santana is seen cheering Brittany and the New Directions during I Love It. When the New Directions are announced the winners of the competition, Santana, Kurt and Emma are all jumping up and down while applauding.

Brittany can be seen walking behind everyone, slowly brushing her hair as the sparks slowly turn off. She faces the audience seats and the empty auditorium. She hears footsteps approaching, noticing it's Santana. Santana reaches out her hand and lifts Brittany, they smile and together, they hold each other as they walk out. They are seen in the background walking into the choir room. They are also seen standing beside each other during Will and Emma's wedding.
