Courtney Ann Galiano, born June 12, 1988[1], is a contemporary dancer and recurring actress. She had a recurring role as The Mack on Glee between 2010 and 2012.

Personal life

Galiano was born in Commack, New York[1] and has a brother.[2] She graduated from Commack High School[3] and attended Manhattan College before transferring to St. Josephs University.[1] She is studying childhood education.[1] She resides in Los Angeles, California.[4] She was a Knicks City Dancer.[5]

Galiano was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in February 2012 and she announced it in April 2012.[3][6]

Galiano became engaged to boyfriend Jonah Platt on August 14, 2015.[7]

Career

She started dancing as Little Bo Peep at the age of three. She has trained in lyrical dance, tap, jazz, ballet and hip hop. She was also a contestant on Fox's So You Think You Can Dance coming in fourth.

Glee

Season One

Courtney appears in season one as one of the teenage pregnant dancers in the episode Funk, when Quinn is singing It's a Man's Man's Man's World. She later appears in the season finale Journey as one of the Vocal Adrenaline dancers.

Season Three

Courtney's biggest role is in season three, where she plays the role of The Mack, a member of The Skanks. The Mack makes her debut in the episode The Purple Piano Project and also appears in I Am Unicorn. She is later seen as a background dancer during the song Run the World (Girls) in the episode Asian F. Courtney then appeared (possibly as The Mack) as a member of The Troubletones during Survivor/I Will Survive in Hold on to Sixteen. She also appeared with the (now attached to New Directions) Troubletones during What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) in On My Way. She returned in Nationals when The Troubletones are assigned to perform The Edge of Glory, a Lady Gaga song, in Chicago.

  • She went on the Glee Live Tour as a back-up vocalist.
  • She is in Hit the Floor which also stars Glee co-star, Charlotte Ross (Judy), even though they didn't share any Glee scenes.
