Doctor Chin makes her first appearance in Throwdown. She is the one who tells Quinn her baby is a girl. She is curious about what the two teens will do after the baby is born. In the same episode, Kendra and Terri blackmail Dr. Wu, another local obstetrician, by threatening him with a lawsuit, which would make all his clients start to go to Doctor Chin.

This may imply that Doctor Chin is Doctor Wu's rival, especially as it is mentioned they are the only two obstetricians in Lima.
