Will and Emma listen to this song on their first date. They agreed to make it "their song" because the song is about friends who decide to have a relationship. Later, Emma is preparing a surprise dinner for Will when Terri appears to retrieve some DVDs. When Emma informs Terri that Hello Again is her couple song with Will, Terri informs Emma that it was "her" song with Will at their high school prom, too.

The song was unreleased. It's originally by Neil Diamond from the compilation The Jazz Singer.
