LaMarcus Rayshawn Tinker, born October 24, 1990, is an American actor. He is known for his roles in Friday Night Lights and Cougar Town.

On Glee, he guest starred as Shane Tinsley.

Personal life[]

Tinker attended the High School for Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, where he also continued his activities in theater, and graduated as a salutatorian.[1][2] He attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where he received a full academic scholarship, and studied English.[1]

Career[]

He joined the cast of Friday Night Lights in September 2009, playing Dallas Tinker, a small town football player trying to make it on the wrong side of the tracks. He revisited his role as Dallas Tinker in 2010 while filming Season 5 of Friday Night Lights.

In August 2010, Tinker signed on to ABC's hit comedy Cougar Town, as a recurring character by the name of "Kevin." Kevin (Tinker) is the college roommate of Courteney Cox's son Travis, who is portrayed by actor Dan Byrd. Travis (Dan Byrd) is on a mission to reinvent himself in college but to his surprise his roommate, is not as welcoming to him as, he may have wanted. Kevin (Tinker) gives Travis a hard time at first but the two warm up to each other eventually.

Film Production[]

Tinker is currently executive producing two independent feature films through his company LRT Productions, LLC. LRT Productions teamed up with Greater Works & Sagemont Studios to the film Down By The River, and with Wisdom Productions to produce the film Consequences. Tinker's company, in collaboration with the companies mentioned above, is set to film eight more feature films over the course of six years.
