- She auditioned for the show with Ain't No Sunshine by Bill Withers.
- Laura and Billy Lewis Jr (her on-screen twin) met each other a while before Glee in a touring production of Hair, and have been close ever since.
- She is the third Glee cast member to win a Grammy award for Best Musical Theater Album. She won as part of the cast of Dear Evan Hansen in 2018, following Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel who won the same category for Wicked in 2004.
