Mary Evans is the mother of Sam, Stacey and Stevie. She, along with her husband Dwight, made their one-episode debut in Hold on to Sixteen, the eighth episode of Season Three, the same episode in which Sam returns to McKinley.

Mary Evans is portrayed by Tanya Clarke.

Biography

Season Three

Hold On To Sixteen

Mary Evans makes her debut appearance in this episode. She is introduced at Sam's house in Kentucky. When Sam plans to move back to Lima, she is proud of Sam but also sad at the thought of not seeing him everyday and begins crying. As Sam wants to move back to Lima to attend McKinley with his friends, Mary and her husband agree and accept it, hugging each other, quietly saying as long as he's happy, they're happy. She and her husband are only seen in this episode so far.

Mary did not appear and was not mentioned throughout the rest of Season Three.
