Merry Christmas Darling by The Carpenters is featured in A Very Glee Christmas, the tenth episode of Season Two. It is featured on the Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album. It is sung by Rachel.
Originally, Rachel was only going sing it to Finn as a Christmas present, but because he rejected the gift, it made Rachel sing the song alone with back-up vocals from the band players. With help from the A.V. Club, she organized Christmas trees on the stage and falling snow for decorations. During the song, Rachel walks past the lockers where she sees Sam and Quinn kissing under a mistletoe and also Santana and Finn decorating the Glee Club Christmas tree.
