Michael Donald O'Malley, born October 31, 1966,[1] is an American actor. He is known for his role on Yes, Dear and he has a recurring role (main in Season 2) as Burt Hummel on Glee since 2009.
Personal life[]
O'Malley was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Marianne and Tony O'Malley. He was raised in Nashua, New Hampshire.[2] O'Malley graduated from Bishop Guertin High School in 1984 and graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1988.[3]
He married Lisa in 2000[1] and they have three children,[1] Fiona (b. March 2003), Seamus (b. December 2004) and Declan.
O'Malley posts pictures of himself with other actors and actresses for his Coffee Table book: #WearingOtherPeopleshair on his offical Twitter account.
Career[]
O'Malley hosted Nickelodeon GUTS for three years in the 1990s. He starred on Yes, Dear for six years before the show ended in 2006. O'Malley had a recurring role on My Name Is Earl for three years until 2009 and has a recurring role on Glee since 2009.
O'Malley was announced to be casted on Welcome to the Family in February 2013[4] and it premiered on October 3.[5] Welcome to the Family was cancelled after three episodes on October 18, 2013.[6]
