Never Say Never by The Fray is featured in The New Rachel, the first episode of Season Four. It is sung by Jake.
He sings this song as his audition for the New Directions. Artie, Will and a few others seem to be impressed by his performance, while other members watch unimpressed. Will stops him halfway, which angers Jake because he practiced very hard for the audition. Jake then goes and knocks down a music stand, and storms out. Will states later on that the reason he stopped him half-way is because he already knew by then that he was good enough and that Jake should join the glee club.
