O Holy Night by Adolphe Adam is featured in Swan Song, the ninth episode of Season Four. It is sung by Rachel.
It is the second part of her "NYADA winter showcase" performance. After her first number, Being Good Isn't Good Enough, where she gained a standing ovation and is asked for an encore (shouted out by Brody), she tells the audience that she will sing her favorite holiday number. O Holy Night begins as Rachel sings.
The scene changes, showing Finn entering the former choir room, which is now used by the Cheerios as a practice room. The audience watches Rachel sing, while Finn packs up the New Directions' trophies. He places the 2012 National Championship Trophy into a box as he looks at the portrait of Lillian Adler.
Back at NYADA, people in the audience open their mouths, amazed by Rachel's singing. Finn gives a final look at the choir room as he pushes out the trolley holding all the New Directions' belongings and flicks the light switch. Towards the end of the song, Carmen gives a look towards Kurt as he watches Rachel, upset about Carmen's news on his re-application. Once again, Rachel gets a standing ovation, hugging Kurt as Carmen comments on her performance.
