Romy Rosemont, born October 28,[1] is an American actress. She is known for her minor/recurring role as Jacqui Franco on CSI and her recurring role as Carole Hudson-Hummel on Glee since 2009.
Personal life
Rosemont married Stephen Root in 2008 and they appeared in a episode of Fringe together. The marriage is Root's second, and he has a son from his previous marriage
Career
She originally auditioned for Jane Lynch’s part on Glee, "but I was reading it and I knew it wasn’t right for me."[2] Rosemont got considered as Finn's mom, a promise that she would recur, and got the part - which she was thankful for.[2] She has been recurring since 2009. In an interview in April 2011, she was enthusiastic about continuing her role in the series, saying "It's a great storyline, and it's going further, but there are so many people to accommodate. But hopefully these characters will grow and even the public and whatever will want to see more of them, so hopefully that will be it."
Rosemont joined the Bitter, Party of Five, a web series created after her and her co-stars not wanting to say goodbye to each other after the pilot for Downwardly Mobile didn’t get picked up,[2] cast in 2012.[3] She's also producing and writing the episodes since "we’re on such a shoestring budget, that we have to do a lot of the preliminary stuff…so we’re completely hands-on in every aspect...which makes it challenging."[2] Her husband, Stephen, Dot-Marie Jones, and Chris Colfer have all stared in web-episodes at one point or another.[2]
She appeared in a CSI Miami episode with Grant Gustin who portrays Sebastian Smythe. He played her character's son.
