Plot: Rachel is in now New York attending NYADA. There she finds herself struggling with being separated from her family and friends and her dance-instructor Cassandra July. She finds support in Kurt and her classmate Brody Weston. Meanwhile, Kurt helps out Will finding new members for the glee club, but after Blaine tells him that he doesn't belong in Lima anymore, he goes to New York. Since Rachel has graduated, the New Directions have lost their lead singer, so Blaine, Brittany, Tina and Wade "Unique" Adams, who has transferred to McKinley, compete for that open position. The Glee Club also tries to recruit new members, including Marley Rose.

Brittany forces the rest of the glee club to do something that risks them losing their top dog status, at an assembly. Meanwhile, Marley pines for bad boy Jake Puckerman, who has a big surprise meeting coming his way. In New York, Rachel and Kurt settle happily into their new apartment, and when Cassandra claims Rachel has no sex appeal, she enlists Brody to help her with a raunchy Spears number.

Plot: It's Brittany vs. Blaine for Senior Class President as elections heat up. Artie and Sam join the election after Sam feels his new found friend Brittany has deserted him. Elsewhere, Will worries that he is losing his enthusiasm for show choir, and when a golden opportunity comes along, he takes it, but worries how it will affect those who are dear to him. In New York, Kurt is given the opportunity of his dreams when he starts work as a Vogue.com contributor, and hits things off with his new boss Isabelle Wright. Also, Rachel is given a makeover with the help of Brody, and the two start to grow closer, until Rachel has an unexpected visitor.

Back in Ohio, Santana surprises Brittany by visiting her, and they are faced with a hard decistion due to the strains of having a long distance relationship. Also, Will and Emma start to quarrel over Will's new job in Washington D.C. Meanwhile, Kitty organizes a rapture at Breadstix, after which Jake decides to break up with her.

Similarly, Kitty and Marley go head-to-head for the role of Sandy. Wade has his heart set on the female role of Rizzo, but Sue has an issue with the potential casting. Additionally, Emma decides not to go to Washington with Will. Will then asks Finn to take over the glee club while he is in Washington.

Plot: When New Directions’ arch foes, The Dalton Academy Warblers, steal the team’s coveted Nationals trophy, it is up to McKinley’s resident superheroes to save the day. Jake and Ryder battle over the affections of Marley. Meanwhile, Finn divides the group into pairs to perform duets. With the help and advice from Jake, Ryder gets tested that later diagnoses him dyslexic. Jake also receives some brotherly advice from Puck. Blaine meets with Hunter Clarington, The Warblers’ new team captain and wrestles with a tempting offer.

Plot: Sectionals is finally here and the alumni are back at McKinley for the holidays, as promised, with the exception of Kurt and Rachel who choose to stay in New York and end up throwing a party with Isabelle. Marley continues to struggle with her weight issues, along with the fear of letting her team down at competition. Meanwhile, Finn has the alumni mentor the new kids, so they can be at their best to beat The Warblers. Tension between Santana and Quinn heats up. Marley's body is pushed too far, potentially ruining their chances at winning.

Rachel receives a very special honor from Carmen Tibideaux. After Rachel's performances, to his surprise, Carmen offers Kurt a chance to reaudition.

Artie resents being in his wheelchair, but with help from his Christmas angel, Rory and a Christmas dream, he realizes without the chair, everything would be different. Brittany and Sam prepare for the 2012 Mayan apocalypse, making the most out of their final days. Sue draws Millie Rose, Marley's mom, who is struggling to have a good Christmas, in a Secret Santa and in the Christmas spirit, is incredibly generous. Puck and Jake bond together. They share a joyful evening with their mothers, where Puck says he is going to move back to Lima. With big news, Burt visits Kurt in New York and brings along Blaine.

Sam and Blaine also investigate a possibility of The Warblers cheating at Sectionals. Kitty sets her eye on Puck. Meanwhile in New York, Rachel is preoccupied with Brody, so Kurt tries to find his niche in NYADA, befriending the lead of the glee club, Adam's Apples, Adam.

Tina has the idea to produce and sell a sexy calendar, but not everyone is excited about the plan. The New Directions take action when Sam’s obsession with his body reaches extreme levels. Meanwhile, Jake and Marley’s relationship advances with help from an unlikely ally. Finn steps up his game in his seemingly endless battle with Sue. At NYADA, Rachel is offered a lead in a student film, but balks when she learns the role requires she appear topless. Kurt brings in Santana and Quinn to talk Rachel out of it.

Santana’s return creates trouble for Sam and Brittany as well as deciding what to do with her future. Emma is in a time of chaos because of preparations for the upcoming wedding. With Will away, Finn and Emma help each other out. In New York, Kurt can not take Rachel's arrogant attitude, so he challenges her to a sing-off for bragging rights at NYADA.

Will tasks Finn and New Directions with being the entertainment for the reception; his weekly assignment is, appropriately, romantic love songs. Ryder struggles to hide his true feelings for Marley, even as he helps her clueless boyfriend Jake give her a Valentine’s Day week to remember. Sparks fly as old romantic relationships are rekindled, and new – and unexpected – ones begin. Rachel offers Finn support as he wrestles with keeping a secret, leading to an unforeseen turn of events.

When her snooping reveals two shocking discoveries, it leads to speculation about one cohabitant, and elicits a difficult confession from another. Meanwhile, Finn tries to locate Emma. Rachel, Finn and Marley each make risky confessions with varying degrees of success. A secret about Brody is revealed.

The lesson spills over to include several members of New Directions, as well. Santana is suspicious about Brody and his extra-curricular activities. Meanwhile, Blaine and Sue compete in a head-to-head sing-off in order to determine Blaine’s future as a Cheerio. Meanwhile Ryder starts to falling for a girl that he has only ever had contact with over the internet via messages.

What starts out as a very personal and potentially embarrassing exercise soon morphs into a unifying display of friendship. Meanwhile, in New York, Rachel learns the truth about Brody, leading her to make an empowered decision about her future.

Plot: Brittany predicts that a meteor will strike Lima. For their weekly assignment, Will gives the kids the theme “Last Chance” in the hopes their fear of the impending disaster will inspire them to live each day as if it could be their last. While Will’s lesson plan has the residual effect of prompting a heartfelt and unexpected confession from Coach Beiste, its premise suddenly takes on new meaning when the school is immersed in a terrifyingly real event. Meanwhile, when Ryder discovers, much to his delight, that Katie – the girl he’s been communicating with strictly via text message – is a student at McKinley, he decides to initiate the next step in their relationship.

She gets a surprise visit from her mother, Shelby, who offers some very valuable advice. Finn begins to settle into his new life as a college student at The University of Lima. While he takes to the school’s party atmosphere with ease with new roommate Puck, it takes heartfelt conversations from friends to put his priorities back in order. Meanwhile, Marley, tries to work up the confidence to suggest that Mr. Schue look at her original music as an alternative for Regionals.

Sue finds herself living a great life after being fired, becoming a training coach at a local gym, but Becky awaits her return and decides to tell Principal Figgins what happened. Meanwhile, in New York, Isabelle Wright asks Kurt to volunteer at the Vogue.com charity event, with Rachel and Santana in tow. Santana finally figures out what she wants to do with her life.

As Rachel prepares for her second callback for Funny Girl, she learns that she needs to get permission from her professors, including Cassandra. Mercedes and Mike return to Lima to help get the new New Directions ready for Regionals. Mercedes must contend with some disheartening news from Los Angeles. And when Kurt comes home to check on Burt's health, Blaine ponders his own future with Kurt and reaches out to Burt for advice.

Ryder tries to learn who his catfisher is, but someone covers for the real culprit. Brittany has her MIT interview and upon her return from Boston, classmates and teachers notice a drastic change in her behavior and attempt to remedy it, where Santana comes back to help. Meanwhile, Rachel puts it all on the line at her final Funny Girl callback.
