The third season of the musical comedy-drama television series Glee was announced May 23, 2010 by FOX. The third season took place during several New Directions students' senior year at William McKinley High School. It premiered September 20, 2011 and ended on May 22, 2012.

Brittany's campaign for senior class president kicks into high gear, and Rachel becomes a third candidate, infuriating the other candidate, Kurt, who also happens to be one of her best friends. Wanting to be more involved in her life, Will invites Emma's parents (guest stars Valerie Mahaffey and Don Most) to dinner, and cause a flare-up of her OCD.
