Somewhere from West Side Story is featured in I Am Unicorn, the second episode of Season Three. It is sung by Rachel and Shelby. It is the first song Shelby sings in the third season.

Although Idina Menzel was credited as a featured artist for her performances of I Dreamed a Dream, Funny Girl and Poker Face in Season 1, she hasn't been credited for Somewhere on Amazon or iTunes. The reason for that remains unknown. Source.

At the beginning of the song, the directors of the highschool show aren't there when Rachel starts singing, but Shelby is. At the end of the performance, Shelby disappears as the directors are sitting down at the table. This suggests the song is sung by Rachel and Shelby during a practice; then, Rachel performs it in her audition for WMHS's production of West Side Story, with the two versions being merged.
