The Rosedale Mennonites
Debut: Thanksgiving
Type: Show Choir
Awards: 2nd Place - Sectionals 2012
Status: Active

The Rosedale Mennonites are a show choir group that performed against the New Directions and the Warblers at the 2012 Western Ohio Sectional Championship. They appear to be Mennonites (a Christian religious denomination).

Season Four

The showchoir performs a mashup of Over the River and Through the Wood/She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain, which several members of the New Directions are shown enjoying. They placed second in the competition, beating the New Directions.

  • Over the River and Through the Wood/She'll Be Coming 'Round the Mountain by Lydia Maria Child/Carl Sandburg. (Thanksgiving)

  • They were the only team not to be disqualified from Sectionals, yet they did not win. It's possible they originally got second place.
  • The fictional Rosedale Mennonites appear to be named after the real town of Rosedale, Ohio, which has a significant Mennonite population. (It is home to a two-year bible college founded by Mennonites.)
