The Skanks are a group of rebel girls who were first seen in The Purple Piano Project. Quinn started hanging out with them over the summer before her senior year; she started dressing and behaving like them, doing things such as smoking and bullying. She seemingly quit the Skanks in I Am Unicorn and rejoined New Directions.

The Skanks usually hang around under the bleachers and often bully other students. In The Purple Piano Project, they threatened to attack Rachel, who had come to talk to Quinn, but Quinn did not say or do anything. In I Am Unicorn, they were seen in the girls' bathroom flushing a girl's head down a toilet and demanding that she give them her lunch money.
