Okay so ordinarily I stay away from politics but something just happened that needs as much attention as possible. President Obama has just come out with his support of gay marriage. On the Yahoo page the comments are riddled with ignorant homophobic comments and I do not recommend anyone go to read them, otherwise you will just get angry. Go there, watch the video and read the article. It is everywhere...

The important thing is that come we need to be informed and aware when it comes to things like this so those of us that are able can get out and vote. These elections that take place now are very important. Just look at the recent passing of an amendment in North Carolina banning same sex marriage, civil unions and domestic partnerships. We are the generation with the power to make change yet we sometimes forget that we are allowing others to make decisions about our future when we don't exercise our right to vote.

If you have not already done so please go sign this petition so that we can try to have N.C. Amendment 1 repealed. Spread the word and together we can make a difference. It is our job to inform our parents, friends, and those around us that marriage is a right not a privilege.

The freedom to marry is one of the vital personal rights essential to teh orderly pursuit of happiness by ALL men. Under our Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person resides with the individual and CANNOT be infringed upon by the State. Our country was founded upon the basis of separation of Church and State. So then why do we allow ourselves to remain hypocrites?
