The 'Shocking' News: They're graduating
Now, the news has just been announced that RM has confirmed that Rachel, Finn and Kurt will be graduating in season 3, meaning they won't be here for season 4. Though I’m annoyed that RM didn’t warn the actors that he was announcing (Chris found out via twitter, Cory from Hollywood Reporter) I’m here to write this post on how SHOCKED all these fans are and how some people believe season 4 will be rubbish cos these 3 are graduating.
This news actually isn’t very shocking. RM has always said that he intends to graduate the characters to keep it realistic and people have figured out that all of ND are seniors in season 3 (except Sam), meaning they should be graduating. So we’ve all had time to come to the realisation they our favourite glee clubbers probably will be graduating at the end of season 3. If you look on the season 3 page, some people are commenting about how season 4 will be rubbish once they leave. Haven’t they already heard the news that they were supposed to be graduating? It’s been around for ages. On the wiki, fans have even worked out from whos class’s people in to find out they’re all S2 juniors. So why is everyone so SHOCKED? Is it because this is mainstream news? I mean, I never hear glee news here in Australia, but I heard on radio. Okay, I do have to agree that some fans don’t go on fansites and this may be shocking (i think i am contradicting myself), but I dislike the people who are bashing RM and FOX for something which has been coming for ages and the people who believe this would never happen. Especially those who are already bashing season 4 cos some characters are leaving. Who knows, the new characters may be just as good, or better. I personally will be sad to see Kurt go (I adore Chris Colfer), but I’d heard about how they were supposed to graduate so it didn’t shock me (obviously the actors themselves are a different matter). Though it'll be hard to image the show without Rachel (ND would be so boring without her obnoxiousness) and Finn, it'll survive. We already know we can somehow manage without Kurt from his 9 1/2 episodes at Dalton, though we'll miss him dearly.
Overall, it seems that everyone who's heard of glee is now shocked that some peole are leaving, when the news that they'd graduate has been around for ages.
