Episode 4: Prom pt. 2Edit
Puck approached Quinn at her locker, who was looking sad. "What's wrong Quinn?" He asked. "Not enough people voting for you and your 'star' boyfriend?"
"Shut it, Puckerman," Quinn said, shutting her locker. "Don't you have to go feed that pig of a girlfriend you have? Why don't you go do that instead of talking to me."
"Come on Quinn, I'm here for you," He said, a smirk on his face. "Even though we don't talk much, and Lauren and I are running for prom king and queen opposed to you doesn't mean that I don't care about you. You're the mother of my child."
"It's Rachel," Quinn stated. "I shouldn't have punched her. I-I'm an evil person, Puck."
"No you're not," Puck said, smiling."You're just hot-tempered. Trust me, I've been with a lot of hot-tempered girls to know."
"Like Santana?" Quinn joked.
Puck chuckled. "Yeah, like Santana," He said. "Come on Fabray, walk with me and tell Uncle Puck all about it."
Smiling, Quinn took Puck's arm while Lauren watched with jealousy from across the hall.
"Has anyone seen Rachel?" Finn asked as he entered the choir room. "I haven't seen, nor heard from her all day."
"The last time I saw her, she was running out of the school while holding her nose." Tina said. "It was bleeding or something."
"She's probably at home trying to fix that little beak of hers," Santana stated. Finn rolled his eyes.
"Alright you guys, settle down," Mr. Schuester said while he entered the room, Jesse at his side. "Jesse and I went over it and he thinks we should perform at McKinley's prom."
"You guys have fun with that because I'm not going," Kurt said, his arms crossed.
"Why not Kurt?" Mercedes asked. "Trouble in Paradise?"
Kurt grunted. "I don't want to talk about it right now."
"Anyways," Jesse said. "Principle Figgins agreed that if we performed, he'd pay us 500$ which could go straight into the payment for the plane ride to New York."
"Mr. Schuester, I have an idea for a song we can sing," Brittany said, raising her hand. "I don't remember the name of the song but it'd be great for a group number."
"Go ahead, Brittany," Mr. Schuester said.
""K-E-double L-O-double good," Brittany sang. "Kellogg's best to you."
"Thanks Brittany, but I don't think we can perform the Kellog's jingle at prom." Mr. Schuester said. "Not too many kids would be excited about that."
Suddenly there was a knock at the door. "Uh, this is the choir room, right?" Blaine's voice said as he entered the room. Kurt widened his eyes.
"Mr. Anderson?" Mr. Scuester said. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in school?"
"This is my school now," Blaine stated. "I transferred here....for Kurt." Everyone in the choir room except for Kurt awed.
"I don't want any part of this," Kurt said as he got up to walk out of the choir room.
'"Kurt, wait," Blaine said. "Just hear me out. I'm sorry for what I did. And I decided to propose this song for you."
"Without you, the ground thaws, the rain falls, the grass grows.
Without you, the seeds root, the flowers bloom, the children play.
The stars gleam, the poets dream, the eagles fly, without you.
The earth turns, the sun burns, but I die, without you.
Without you, the stars roar the breeze warms, the girl smiles, the cloud moves.
Without you, the tides change, the boys run, the oceans crash.
The crowds roar, the days soar, the babies cry, without you.
The moon glows, the river flows, but I die, without you.
Without you, without you"
"I'm sorry Blaine, but I just can't deal with this," Kurt said as he ran out of the choir room.
Blaine approached Kurt at his locker. "Did you like my song?" He asked.
"You know your voice is my only weakness," Kurt said. "Why would you do this?"
"Because I am truly sorry," Blaine said. "And I just can't live without you."
"I can't trust you anymore. Just go and leave me alone Bl-" Blaine then planted a soft kiss on Kurt's lips. There was nothing to do except kiss back. Blaine then pulled away, looking into Kurt's eyes.
"Will you go to prom with me?" Blaine asked.
"Yes Blaine, I will," Kurt said, hugging him.
Hours passed and there was still no answer from Rachel, or her dads. Finn was starting to get worried. What could've happened to her, and why wasn't she answering her phone?
"Hey Finn," Quinn said, looking stunning in a gorgoues baby blue dress. "Still no answer from Rachel?"
"What do you want, Quinn?" Finn asked, looking up from his table.
"God, you don't have to be so harsh," Quinn said, rolling her eyes. "People still think we're a couple, so we might as well act like one while we're here."
"And?" Finn asked.
"I want you to dance with me," Quinn said, looking down.
"No.Way." Finn stated.
"Come on Finn, just one little dance, that's all," Quinn said, mimicking the puppy dog look. She knew Finn couldn't help that look.
"Fine, whatever," Finn said as he got up, holding Quinn close as the two danced together. Quinn could feel herself melt into his body, like the two were always meant to be together in the first place. But Puck had insisted that she become a better person, and that was her main goal here.
"I remember when we first danced together like this," Quinn said. "It was on our first date, when you admitted that you couldn't dance and I had to lead for you."
Finn chuckled. "And I would always step on your little toes, which annoyed you a LOT," Finn said.
Quinn laughed, looking into Finn's eyes. She could feel it coming, something that she would regret for the rest of the school year. Slwoly, she felt her lips jerking towards Finn's.
"Ladies and Gentlemen," Figgin's voice inturrupted. Finn quickly pulled away from Quinn. "It's time to announce this year's Prom King and Queen. May the candidates come up to the stage, please?"
"Good luck," Finn said as he made his way onstage.
"You too," Quinn said.
Slowly, Figgins pulled out a envelope. He opened it, reading the result. "William McKinley High School's 2011 Prom King and Queen are.....Finn Hudson and Rachel Berry!"
"What?" Finn asked. "Rachel didn't even run for Prom Queen."
"You can thank Quinn," Puck, who was next to him said. "She felt so horrible about punching Quinn that she decided to have a write in ballot."
"Finn Hudson and Rachel Berry?" Principle Figgins called once again. Finn awkwardly walked towards the microphone, Figgins granting him with the crown.
"I'm sorry, but Rachel couldn't join us tonight for unknown reasons," Finn said. "But I want to thank all of you and especially Quinn Fabray for making this possibl-"
"Finn!" Kurt called from in the crowd, making his way to the front of the stage. "It's about Rachel."
"Huh?" Finn asked.
"Rachel's dad just texted me," Kurt said. "She's-she's in the hospital."
"What?" Finn asked. "For what?"
"Rachel was hit by a car."
