Glee: The Next Generation - Meet The Newbies!

After looking over the call back list, and thinking it over and getting some opinions, I had to make a VERY hard decision. Unfortunately, I already have 8 returning New Directions Members and 15 finalists...which I all loved. But, despite having a personal high of 19 New Directions members in the second half of Season 2, I know how tough it is to juggle that many characters, so 23 would be out of the question. And although I was only eyeing a total of 14-15 New Directions members I ultimately decided on a total of 17, with one of those characters joining in episode 8 of Season 5. So, It's still more than what I planned, but it was so hard to narrow it down. This is just for New Directions/McKinley and the Warblers/Dalton. I will do one for Vocal Adrenaline/Carmel and NYADA tomorrow so check back for that!

Without further ado, here is your Season 5 New Directions!

James Holland, (18), Senior - James is married to his high school sweetheart and true love, former New Directions star and cousin of Brittany, Jaxon Pierce. Jaxon is away at NYADA, following his dreams, unfortunately leaving James behind. While their marriage is legal in New York, it isn't in Ohio. This is a major issue for James, who just wants his love for Jaxon recognized. In the wake of Jaxon's absence, James has stepped up to co-captain Glee club with his friend Bella James. Bella James, (18) Senior - Bella was once co-captain of New Directions but stepped down to focus on other aspects of her life. This current co-head Cheerio is finally seizing her inner diva and stepping back up to lead New Directions as co-captain. Bella has had a rough year as her relationship with Reece is facing major setbacks and her best friend is in New York. Played by Kaley Cuoco. Created by The blue eyes girl.
Kevin Rhodes, (19) Senior - Kevin has a big heart, but unfortunately is not the brightest crayon in the box. He's not very smart and is subject to Brittany moments. Usually, his best friend Miles is there to slap him in the back of the head and bring him to his senses, but with Miles in New York and his girlfriend, Rose, attending college, poor Kevin is completely lost. Ana Watson, (18) Senior - Ana is one of the most popular girls in school, co-head Cheerio, and self-confessed "lipstick lesbian." Although her power couple romance with artsy Natasha Leonard fell apart over the summer, Ana managed to land on her feet. Afterall, she's popular, she's pretty, and she's McKinley's Queen Bee. Reece Montgomery, (17) Junior - Reece was an all-American country boy whose parents moved closer to their family in Lima a few years ago. He was then shipped off to live with his cousin, Hallie Grace as his parent's marriage fell apart. Reecee grew up a lot helping the teen mother raise her twin babies. He's always been a bright and optimistic person until he gets some tragic news that will change his life forever and will test his realtionship with Bella. Played by Hunter Hayes. Taylor Atkinson, (18) Senior - Taylor is a bad girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Growing up in Lima Heights Adjacent, she grew up hanging with gangs, street racing, and stealing. It was all part of the fun - the only fun in Lima Heights Adjacent. Although she tried to make an attempt to seize the title of McKinley's Queen Bee, she was beaten to the bunch by her former best friend, Ana. The two are mortal enemies now. Played by Ashley Tisdale. Adam Gray, (17) Junior - Adam was always made fun of for being smaller and more feminine than the other guys. He was a late bloomer, not blossoming until he was 16. But life has been hard for Adam. He was raised by lesbian parents and is a former cutter. He was called gay slurs by his peers when he doesn't even like guys. And don't get him started on the Justin Bieber conparisons. But he's finally found love with Nicole Martin, who is away in New York because she's super smart and was a grade ahead. But Adam knows he can make it work. Played by Logan Lerman. Etta Amato (15) Sophomore - Antonietta Amato, better known as Etta, is a sarcastic and funny person who really doesn't like the popular kids meaning Taylor and Ana are at the top of her dislike list. She decides she should try out for Glee Club because all her friends tell her she can sing. However she is not aware her two biggest adversaries are members. Etta is also a lesbian, but she's still in the closet because she knows her parents would disown her if they knew, which is gonna be tough because she just so happens to find a certain girl very cute. Dexter Iver (16) Sophomore - Dexter is a classically trained musical prodigy, but his reputation makes it hard for people to look past and see his talent. At first glance, Dexter seems cold, distant, and mean but he's really insecure and goes to great lengths to compensate. He was also born blind and formely attended a school for the blind. However, Dexter has just transfered to McKinley to have a more normal life as he doesn't wanna be "just some blind kid." Portrayed by Nico Tortorella. Created by Dare-2-Dream.
Davies Dawson (17) Junior - Davenport Dawson, better known by her nickname, Davies, is a student who's flown under the radar at McKinley but suddenly finds herself in the midde of all the attention when she decides to join Glee Club. Davies is both bisexual and exotic, hailing from Bitola, Macedonia. Davies secretly struggles with bi-polar disorder and go to great lengths to hide it and keep it at bay. However, her explosive, yet passionate relationship with her boyfriend, Teddy Cruz, puts her struggle on display. Portrayed by Natasha Petrovic. Created by CharyssaOTP.
Jayden Hebberd (16) Sophomore - Jayden grew to idolize New Directions star Jaxon Pierce in his last year at McKinely. Wanting to be like Jaxon has led Jayden to join New Directions. On stage, this shy and insecure boy turns into a performing dynamo. Jayden is also gay and has just came out of the closet, something he is struggling with. Jayden strikes up a sort of mentor-type relationship with James, but James soon grows jealous of Jayden's hero worship of Jaxon. Portrayed by Asher Book. Created by Purple-Glee-Project.
Kimberly Willaims (16) Sophomore - Kimberly is a fashionista and actress in the making who joins New Directions for the opprotunity to become their official costume designer. Kimberly is very sweet and friendly, but like Brittany and Kevin, she can be a bit slow. However, she is a great singer and she has a huge heart. With her eye for design, could she give New Directions the edge they desperately need going after a second consecutive International Championship? Portrayed by Kiely Williams. Created by Troy Bowman.
Teddy Cruz (16) Sophomore - Tedford Cruz, who goes by Teddy, is a talented guy with anger issues. His relationship with Davies is explosive at times because of her bi-polar disorder can be hard to deal with. Teddy has never felt like he fit in or belongs, so he's looking for something new and something more than what he's accustomed to. This leads him to try out for New Directions. In New Directions, he discovers just how talented he is, something he's never really took the time to notice. But when a new girl transfers to McKinley, he takes an interest in her love-me-or-hate-me attitude and her unconventional ways. Portrayed by David Henrie. Created by ClevanOTP.
Tess McCord (16) Sophomore - Tess transfers from Holy Name of the Mother Academy to McKinley a little into the season because to be honest, she couldn't stand the people or the atmosphere anymore. Tess doesn't have very high hopes for McKinley, either. She's kind of sarcastic and cynical, but she's honest and she doesn't give a crap about what people think of her. The one thing that has always caught her attention was music, so she joins Glee Club. There, she falls for Teddy, who is completely not her type. And while she knows this, she can't help but have feelings for him After all, he's one of the few people who gets her. Portrayed by Rebel Wilson. Created by JamesonOTP.
Josh Bennett (17) Junior - Josh Bennett (never call him Joshua) is a talented young performer with an unrivalled drive. And while he's somewhat of a party animal and tough guy, he has his insecurties. Josh is bisexual, having had his share of make-out time with guys, but when it comes down to it, he prefers girls - pretty girls to be exact. But the one thing Josh can't stand? Drama. Which is a pain in the butt because in high school, drama is everywhere. Josh joins Glee Club, thinking that with their inclusive nature, it's a drama free place to be. He couldn't be more wrong. Natalia Jensen (15) Freshman - Wide-eyed and exuberant for her first year of high school, Natalia is eager to join as many clubs as possible, including Glee Club. She is eager to make new friends, is very friendly but can be a bit shy at first. She can be loud at times and sometimes doesn't think before she speaks, but you can always count on her. Natalia pretty much puts up a happy front to hide her poor self-esteem, so she tends to get labelled a fake. Natalia joins Glee Club so she can dance, as dancing is both her passion and her coping mechanism. Portrayed by Christian Serratos. Created by QFabrayGleek4eva.

Alright, if your character didn't make it, fear not as I tried to make room for everyone. Listed below are characters who will be in recurring (non-New Directions) roles as those need replaced, too. They can (and most likely will) be bumped up into main characters and join New Directions in Season 6 as 5 characters will be leaving for The NYADA Years' 2nd Season.

RECURRING CHARACTERS:

Olivia Mahoney - Recurring McKinley student and friend to Etta. Member of the Celibacy Club and Old Maid's Club. Will join New Directions in S6.
Sadie Rosetti - Recurring McKinley student, Celibacy Club president, and friend to Bella, Etta, Kimberly, and Ana. Mortal enemy to Taylor. Will instead be a Sophomore this season. Will join New Directions in S6.
Beckii Castor - Recurring McKinley student, Cheerio, and friend to Taylor. Enemy of Sadie, Etta, Olivia, and Ana. She transferred from Vocal Adrenaline. Will join New Directions in S6.
Liam Clarke - Recurring McKinley student, soccer star, and dancer. Friend to Jayden. Has a crush on Jayden, but Jayden sees them as only friends. Will join New Directions in S6.

WARBLERS:

The following characters didn't make the cut as New Directions members, but since I need Warblers, they will be Warblers instead. As you can see from the series, the Warblers in my FF in fact have a large role.

Trey Brooks (16) Sophomore - Trey decided to join the Warblers to help bring a little more dance and flavor to the Glee Club. He can sing, dance, rap, and even write songs. Portrayed by Roshon Fagen. Created by Troy Bowman.
Marcus Von Bleicken (16) Sophomore - Marcus and Zack are in a rivalry to see who should get the spot as The Warbler's lead. He is both very competitive and promuscuous and is gay. Portrayed by Robert Pattinson. Created by Eltotox1234.
Zack Westbrook (16) Junior - Zack and Marcus were close friends when Zack moved to Lima from Australia. That was until Marcus misread the signs and kissed Zack. Zack and Marcus rarely even talk anymore as Zack has pushed him away. Now, they are competing for the Warbler's lead. Being a Warbler will be a challenge for Zack, who is a lone wolf and doesn't like being a part of a group. Portrayed by Xavier Samuel. Created by C.Jacobs Rocky05.
