I don't know how many people have seen the comments on the voting blog, but Wikia Staff has voiced concern and disapproval of how things are being done. As a bureaucrat, I feel responsible to work in unison with Wikia and work out something that is best for everyone. No removal or rights for anyone, but thinking only about what's best for this wiki. So I implore all other Bureaus and Admins to consider this idea.
We only have 5 bureaus and two are pretty much inactive anyway, so we already have 3 lead bureaus here and and a vote is unnessecary in my opinion. The vote seems like an excuse to "vote out" users who aren't really wanted by certain others in the groups and the truth is, our bureau/admin team is really strong as is. The only consideration taken is what a select team of users wants, not what the teams as a whole wants, or what Wikia wants.
My idea would be a solution that would hopefully appease both teams. According to the voting blog, we currently only have a few more members than what they suggest and this vote is, and has been, causing people to quit the wiki and be distressed. A shake-up is the last thing we need on the heels of Doc's removal. We have to consider what is best for the wiki as a whole, not a select few.
So...I, hopefully with Wikia's blessing, and the blessing of ALL the Glee Wiki users, suggest that we keep our current admin team as is. Bureau rights can only be removed by Wikia anyway, and they seem to not want to have to remove any rights as they think our current team is strong right now. So, keeping the current admin team, I think we should implement the ideas you guys have set forth of a sort of "Admin Council." The bureaucrats would lead as a team, no main admin over the wiki anymore, all admins and users have a say in all major decisions. I feel its what's best. You all had great ideas on making this a team effort but the voting in and out of users and striping of rights is where it got, in my opinion, and several others', unfair.
So, what do you say? All in favor? Comment below and tell me what you think.
