Recap[]
So here’s what you missed on The Unitards...
Harmony assigned Amanda, Rex and Teddy to count the votes determining whether Jesse should be welcomed back to the glee club after cheating with Carlton’s former choir Vocal Adrenaline. The results were unexpected when it was discovered that basically everyone was trying to rig the votes, including the responsible, fair and mature Harmony. But overall, Jesse was welcomed back.
Also, June was kicked off the cheerleading squad by the cheerleading teacher, Margret Ellis, after she accidentally knocked the cheerio’s human pyramid over. Somebody didn’t seem to be in a good mood (Miss Ellis!).
June used to date Tommy, but then she broke up with him for apparently being too childish. June’s know dating Andy, the nerd with the glasses who’s had a crush on June since... well, as long as I can remember.
Justine lost her popularity after she decided to stay with glee club, but Tommy still loved her enough to ask her out, which she accepted, and they’ve been together ever since.
After, it was discovered that Carlton was tricking Lilly, the lead of the Sensational Singers, into sharing her setlist with him, so Vocal Adrenaline would have an even better chance of winning Sectionals, especially because he had cheated by using Jesse as their secret weapon.
Another thing... a new girl named Winter Delgado, who’s highly talented and can speak over three different languages, auditioned for for glee club, which kinda freaked Harmony out because she was jealous of her talent. Winter is also attracted to Jason, who’s always kind of been in the background, despite being in the club since the beginning of its creation. But then after a cute duet, Winter let Jason know that she’s actually bisexual, and now we don’t know whether their relationship’s gonna work out....
....and that’s what you’ve missed on The Unitards!
Story[]
As Jesse sat in the lonely teachers staff room, reading the zebra-colored newspaper, he was suddenly alarmed by a quick, strange dragging sound. He almost fell straight out of his white painted chair onto the floor.
He had gotten the fright of his life, but was quite relieved to see it was just Margret Ellis, the cheerleading coach, pulling a chair out.
“Why did you do that to me? You scared the living daylights out of me!” said Jesse unhappily, his heart still thumping heavily from receiving this massive fright.
“I’m sorry,” she said, not meaning it, while she slowly got comfortable in her seat.
“So, what are you up to?” asked Jesse, as he tried to hide the bitter look of hatred in his eyes, the look that you wear when there’s someone you despise so much, but have to be polite to them.
“All you need to know is that whatever I’VE been doing is most certainly better than whatever YOU’VE been doing. I guess you’ve probably been planning the choreography to yet another one of those eye-sore performances that’ll probably have your audience out before the show even starts. That is, if you even have an audience,” she laughed in her usual mean, bully-like tone.
“I’m sure you’re having fun with your cheerleaders,” said Jesse as politely as he possibly could, but still sounding slightly sarcastic, like what he was saying wasn’t what he was feeling.
“I sure am,” she replied, for once, sounding the slightest bit friendly. But then she began to interrupt him while trying to read the newspaper, and he was getting extremely frustrated and annoyed at her. He tried to ignore her and continued reading the article in the paper, but it was no use because she kept interrupting his thoughts, leaving him unable to concentrate on what he was reading.
After a few more minutes of hell with possibly the most unfriendly teacher at Jackson High, a slim lady walked in to the staff room, with the principal trailing ever so slightly behind her.
“Hello Jesse, hello Margret,” began the principal, Patrick Jelly, “I’d like you to meet our newest staff member at Jackson High, Amy Sky.”
“Hello Amy,” said Jesse, finally a true polite, friendly spark appearing in his former dreary, annoyed, unhappy eyes.
“Aren’t you going to say hello?” asked Patrick to Margret.
“Just give me a minute!” she yelled rudely, while reading the newspaper that Jesse was previously reading.
“How rude of her to snatch that thing right out of my hands. I had to pay for that,” thought Jesse mournfully.
After a good 20 seconds or so, she finally stared up from her newspaper. She placed her sunglasses from over her eyes down, so they sat on the edge of her nose, in the kind of position that elderly grandmothers place their reading glasses in.
“Hello Anita,” said Margret.
“The name’s Amy,” corrected the new teacher.
“Nice to meet you,” said Jesse, getting out of his seat and offering a warm, firm handshake. Margret was still sitting comfortably in her seat, ignoring even her boss, reading the paper, as if no one was even in the room.
“What’s up with her?” whispered Amy to Jesse and Patrick.
“Don’t worry, she’s always like that,” replied Jesse, still talking softly so that Margret couldn’t hear a word they said.
“Oh,” replied Amy in disbelief.
She began to worry about the friendliness of the other staff at the school, the ones she hadn’t met yet.
“Anyway, if you don’t mind Jesse,” started the principal, “Showing Amy around the school. There’s nothing worse than being late to teach a class because you didn’t know where it was,” finished Patrick, laughing.
“Sure,” replied Jesse kindly.
“That’d be quite helpful,” giggled Amy.
“Well, I’ll leave you two then. Good luck Amy, and if you need help, just visit me at my office, at least you know where that is,” he laughed.
“Okay...sure,” she replied nervously.
As soon as Patrick had walked out, Amy felt even more nervous. Her first day as a teacher reminded her of her first day at school; nobody knew anyone, nobody knew where anything was, or worse... what to even do.
She had only just escaped the nightmare of a university she had spent about three years studying at. All the other students at the university would pick on her for being shy, but Amy always stayed strong through the tough times. She was a strong woman, and despite what everyone said to her, she always believed in herself. She was hoping that leaving the university would finally set her free from a life time of bullying, but seeing Margret already left her with a bad feeling about Jackson High.

“Please don’t take that Margret bitch you met earlier today seriously,” said Jesse, as he led Amy through the lonely, unspeaking hallways of Jackson High.
“I won’t,” replied Amy.
“Good. Because she’s not worth it. She’s lazy, bitchy, and overall a bully. Just ignore her, even Patrick has to do that,” he joked.
Amy laughed with Jesse.
“...And last stop...” he said, “...The lucky choir room!”
“Why is it so lucky?” she asked.
“Because I teach in it, of course, what else did you think?”
“Why would you be teaching in it?” she asked.
“Well... because I’m the glee club teacher, silly. Glee club’s in the choir room... well... the auditorium too, but you know what I mean,” he said.
“Really? I can’t believe YOU’RE the glee club teacher. So YOU’RE the guy who took my job as the director,” she joked.
“Wait! YOU were the new staff member who wanted to take my job!” he said, finally puzzling the pieces together.
Earlier on in the week he was called to the principal’s office for an unknown reason. A flashback occurs.
“Good morning Jesse,” said the principal. “Take a seat.”
Jesse pulled the chair out and slumped down into his seat, thinking of the worst.
“What have I done this time?” he joked.
“It’s okay, you’re not in trouble,” replied the principal.
“Oh, phew,” said Jesse, wiping a drop of sweat off his forehead.
“It’s just that there’s a new staff member coming later this week who wants to be the glee club teacher, but because the position’s already filled by you, I was wondering if you’d like to consider becoming a co-director, with this new teacher.”
“Can I say no?” asked Jesse.
“Whatever floats your boat,” said Patrick.
“Well... what floats my boat is a “no”. Sorry.”
“That’s okay,” he replied. “Thank you for your time! You may leave now.”
Jesse got up out of his seat and bowed at the principal.
“Just ‘cause I’m the boss, doesn’t mean you have to bow down at me like I’m the king of the country!” he laughed.
“Jesse!” heard Jesse.
He than realized that he had lost track of where he was. In the choir room. With the new teacher Amy.
“Yes, I did want to take your job, but that’s fine,” she replied.
“So, if you’re not teaching glee, then what are you teaching? I’m already teaching the music class as well, so that spot ain’t open for you,” asked Jesse.
“English, History and private instrument lessons with students, as well as vocal practice.”
“Can you even sing?” asked Jesse, the scene cutting.

The glee club watched as Amy and Jesse swayed along to the music that began to play. Jesse and Amy sung “Baby (You’ve Got What It Takes)” by Michael Bublé and Sharon Jones.
“Jesse:
Well now it takes more than a robin to make the winter go
And it takes two lips for fire to melt away the snow
Amy:
Well it takes two hearts that are cookin' to make a fie grow
And baby you've got what it takes
Now listen, honey (Jesse: Alright baby)
Amy:
You know it takes a lot of kissin' , oh, to make a romance sweet
Oh it takes a lot of lovin' to make my life complete
Jesse:
Oh well it takes somebody special to knock me off my feet
And baby you've got what it takes, mmm
Amy: I said
Amy and Jesse: oooooh
Amy: Aha
Amy and Jesse: ooooh
Jesse:
You know you've got just what it takes
Because it takes more than an effort to stay away from you
And it takes more than a lifetime to prove that I'll be true (Amy: yeah), aha
Amy:
But it takes somebody special to make me say I do
Amy: And baby
Jesse and Amy: you've got what it takes
Amy: Aha
Jesse and Amy: ooooh (Amy: aha) ooooh
Jesse: You know know you've got just what it takes
Amy:
Oh, because it takes a lot of effort (Jesse: takes a lot of effort) to stay away from you (Jesse: mmm)
And it takes more than a lifetime to prove that I'll be true
Jesse:
Well it takes somebody special (Amy: come on) to make me say I do
Jesse and Amy:
And baby you've got what it takes
Amy:
Ah, c'mon say that again honey
Amy and Jesse:
And baby, you've got what it takes
(Jesse: one more time)
And baby, You've got what it takes
(Amy: you got it you got it)
Jesse: You've got what it takes
(Amy: You've got it, you’ve got it)
You've got what it takes. ”
The glee club cheered.
“While I think that was a sweet performance... who is this lady?” asked June.
“June, this is Miss Sky,” said Jesse.
“Why, what a lovely name,” replied June.
“Yes, very beautiful,” said Harmony, trying to be sweeter than June.
“Shouldn’t we be preparing for Sectionals, I mean, Regionals?” asked June, who was attempting to brag about how far they’d come.
“No, actually, June. I realized that I’ve been working you all so hard and we’ve never actually had any official Unitards competitions, so... without further ado... I’m happy to announce...the official Unitards Duet Competition!”
Straight away, the kids were cheering and jumping out of their seats to pick their partners.
Winter just sat there, not knowing who to go with. She would have gone with Jason, but after he had stormed out when telling him of her bisexuality, and him continuously ignoring her and not replying to her texts, she wasn’t sure what to do. She had only been in the club for about a week, she hadn’t met many people yet. She then saw Liz sitting at the back of the room, cramped into the corner, looking around for a partner too.
“That’s it,” thought Winter, “I’ll go with her.”
She got out of her seat and walked to the back of the room. Just when she was about to ask Liz whether she wanted to be her partner, she heard someone scream.
“Stop!”
“Stop!”
The club eventually became silent as they stared at an impatient Jesse.
“I’ve been calling for silence for the last minute!” yelled Jesse. “I’m very disappointed.”
“But... when else were we going to get our partners?” asked Laura rudely.
“Maybe if you’d have let me finish.. I could have answered that,” said Jesse.
“As a matter of fact, you’re not picking your own partners, I’M picking your partners.”
Everyone in the club groaned and moaned.
“...Well, technically... fate will be deciding your partners. I’ll picking your partners out of a box. Please guys, I’m telling you... it’ll be fun.”
He did a thumbs up sign at Amy and she reached behind the piano and bended down, picking up a glittering blue box, then revealing it to the club.
“If I end up with one of those theatre nerd douches, I’m going all Jackie Chan on your ass Jesse!” yelled Laura seriously, eyeing off Harmony and June, the “theatre nerd douches”.
Once again Amy felt uncomfortable about what the students of her first class would be like.
“Laura... calm down,” said Jesse.
“Also, why is Miss Scrawny Skin And Bone still here? Doesn’t she have a class to teach?” asked Laura.
“Stop the insults Laura or I’ll pull you out of this competition,” said Jesse sternly.
“It’d be better than having to participate,” she said under her breath.
“I’ll make you aware that Miss SKY is here because she’s actually the second judge, along with myself, who will be helping decide the worthy winner of this competition.”
“Wait, but aren’t the numbers uneven?” asked Harmony, trying to sound wise in front of Miss Sky, trying to already make a good impression.
“Yes, actually, and if you’d all let me finish then-”
“Sorry,” apologized Harmony, trying to recover her image.
“That’s okay Harmony,” he said, favoring her once again.
“To even out the numbers I’m simply going to ask who wants to perform twice, you’ll have two different partners. So, who wants to give it a go?”
Instantly Harmony, June and Sugar’s hands popped up.
“Anyone else, for a change?” asked Jesse, trying to contain his laughter at Sugar putting her hand up.
Then Simon put his hand up.
“Okay then, I’ll just write your names down, put them in the box and let Miss Sky pick out the person who will perform two duets!”
He did just that, then said, “Miss Sky... be my guest.” He pointed towards the box, and she put her hand in and picked one out. She handed it to Jesse.
On the ripped bit of paper, he saw “Harmony” written down.
“Simon,” said Jesse, lying, trying to give Simon a bit more spotlight for once.
He quickly threw out all the bits of paper into the bin, so that no one could see he had lied about who really should have been performing two duets.
After Jesse had finished picking out all the partners, he re-read the sheet to make sure everyone was sure of their partner. “Alright... so the partners are...” he said, reading off the bit of paper he had written all the partners on,
- “ Poppy and Simon
- Sugar and Simon
- Winter and Harmony
- June and Tommy
- Freddie and Jason
- Terri and Andy
- Justine and Carlton
- Amanda and Rex
- Liz and Teddy
and
- Spider and Laura!”

“Take it away!” said Jesse.
Poppy and Simon sung “Good Feeling” by Flo Rida ft. Christina Aguilera.
“Poppy:
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, sometimes I get a good feeling, yeah
I get a feeling that I never never never never had before, no no
I get a good feeling, yeah
Oh oh, sometimes I get a good feeling, yeah
I get a feeling that I never never never never had before, no no
I get a good feeling, yeah
Simon (Poppy):
Yes I can, doubt that I leave, I'm running with this plan
Pull me, grab me, crabs in the bucket can't have me
I'll be the president one day
January first, oh, you like that gossip
Like you the one drinking what God sip dot com
Now I gotta work with your tongue
How many rolling stones you want
Yeah I got a brand new spirit, (oh oh)
Speak it and it's done
Woke up on the side of the bed like I won (oh oh)
Talk like a winner, my chest to that sun
G5 dealer, US to Taiwan (oh oh)
Now who can say that, I wanna play back
Mama knew I was a needle in a hay stack (oh oh)
A Bugatti boy, plus Maybach
I got a feeling it's a wrap, ASAP
Poppy:
Oh, oh, sometimes I get a good feeling, yeah
I get a feeling that I never never never never had before, no no
I get a good feeling, yeah
Poppy and Simon:
Oh oh, sometimes I get a good feeling, yeah
I get a feeling that I never never never never had before, no no
I get a good feeling, yeah
Simon (Poppy):
The mountain top, walk on water
I got power, feel so royal
One second, I'ma strike oil
Diamond, platinum, no more for you
Got adrenaline, never giving in
Giving up's not an option, gotta get it in
Witness I got the heart of 20 men
No fear, go to sleep in the lion's den (oh oh)
That flow, that spark, that crown
You looking at the king of the jungle now (oh oh)
Stronger than ever can't hold me down
A hundred miles gunnin' from the pitcher's mound (oh oh)
Straight game face, it's game day
See me running through the crowd full of melee (oh oh)
No trick plays, I'm Bill Gates,
Take a genius to understand me
(Short Instrumental)
Simon:
Let's get it, let's get it
I know you got the good feelin'
Let's get it, let's get it
Gotta love the life that we livin'
Let's get it, let's get it
I know you got the good feelin'
Let's get it, let's get it
Gotta love the life that we livin'
Poppy:
Oh oh, oh oh, oh oh
Oh oh, sometimes I get a good feeling.”
“Off to a great start guys! I’m very impressed with your high standards Jesse,” exclaimed Amy.
“Wonderful! I wish I could rap like that Simon, that was awesome. Put your hands together for Poppy and Simon!” said Jesse.
The glee club cheered and applauded them for an outstanding performance.

In the auditorium, Carlton sat as Lilly spoke.
“...And I’m sorry that I have to do this, but after all the crap I’ve taken from you... please sit back and don’t enjoy. Oh, and don’t interrupt!” said Lilly.
Lilly sings a sweet but strong version of “Mean” originally by Taylor Swift.
“Lilly:
You, with your words like knives
And swords and weapons that you use against me
You have knocked me off my feet again
Got me feeling like I'm nothing
You, with your voice like nails on a chalkboard
Calling me out when I'm wounded
You picking on the weaker man
You can take me down with just one single blow
But you don't know, what you don't know...
Someday I'll be living in a big ol' city
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Why you gotta be so mean?”
Carlton began crying at this moment of the song.
“You, with your switching sides
And your wildfire lies and your humiliation
You have pointed out my flaws again
As if I don't already see them
I walk with my head down
Trying to block you out 'cause I'll never impress you
I just wanna feel okay again
I bet you got pushed around
Somebody made you cold
But the cycle ends right now
'Cause you can't lead me down that road
And you don't know, what you don't know...
Someday I'll be living in a big ol' city
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Why you gotta be so mean?
And I can see you years from now in a bar
Talking over a football game
With that same big loud opinion
But nobody's listening
Washed up and ranting about the same old bitter things
Drunk and grumbling on about how I can't sing
But all you are is mean
All you are is mean
And a liar, and pathetic, and alone in life
And mean, and mean, and mean, and mean
But someday I'll be living in a big ol' city
And all you're ever gonna be is mean, yeah
Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Why you gotta be so?...
Someday I'll be living in a big ol' city (Why you gotta be so?..)
And all you're ever gonna be is mean (Why you gotta be so?..)
Someday I'll be big enough so you can't hit me (Why you gotta be so?..)
And all you're ever gonna be is mean
Why you gotta be so mean?”
“That was... amazing,” said Carlton, still crying.
“Why are you crying, huh? You finally sorry for all the crap you threw at me?” asked Lilly.
“I’m sorry,” said Carlton, “For everything I’ve done. For asking your setlist for Sectionals but not telling you mine; for cheating with Vocal Adrenaline by having Jesse; for not loving you.”
“Well.. you can’t really help that you’re gay,” replied Lilly.
“I know, but I used my sexuality to bully you. I knew you liked me. I knew that. But I kept rubbing it in your face that I was gay,” he said, still tears dripping down his face.
“I know. And that’s what upset me the most. You know what, now that I know that you’re truly sorry for everything... let’s just forget about this whole thing. Let’s start fresh. No more evilness towards each other, well, no more evilness from you to me, I should say.”
“Yes, I swear I’ll never treat you badly anymore. I’m still not dating you, but I want to be your friend. Forever. For life,” said Carlton truthfully.
“Okay, friends for life,” replied Lilly, hugging Carlton and smiling at him.

In June’s bedroom, Tommy and June were practicing for their duet.
They sung “A Whole New World” from Disney’s Aladdin.
“Tommy:
I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming
June:
A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you
Tommy:
Now I'm in a whole new world with you
June:
Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky.”
The scene cuts them to singing in front of the glee club as their duet.
June (Tommy):
A whole new world
(Don't you dare close your eyes)
A hundred thousand things to see
(Hold your breath - it gets better)
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be
(A whole new world)
Every turn a surprise
(With new horizons to pursue)
Every moment red-letter
June and Tommy:
I'll chase them anywhere
There's time to spare
Let me share this whole new world with you
Tommy: A whole new world
June: A whole new world
Tommy: That's where we'll be
June: That’s where we’ll be
Tommy: A thrilling chase
June: A wondrous place
Tommy and June: For you and me.”
“Oh, that’s wonderful!” exclaimed Amy, “So dreamy. That was so cute.”
“Wonderful!” agreed Jesse, “I think that’s the first Disney song performed in glee club. Well done, I really loved it!”
“I told you it would work out Tommy,” said June laughing, raising her brows in a flirty way.
He laughed back, slapping her on the arm cheekily.
Andy sat there watching Tommy basically taking her girl from him.
“I’m sure they’re going to be official if I don’t do anything right away,” he thought.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
“Hey June,” said Andy after glee club.
“Hey Andy, what’s up? Did you like my duet in glee club?” she asks.
“Yeah, it was...” he began, “..Alright... I guess,” he finished, not sounding too convincing.
“What do you mean it was just alright, it was definitely better than alright,” she joked.
“I’m kidding, it was... excellent,” said Andy. “Hey, so wanna go out for a date tonight?”
“Tonight?! But I’m busy,” she said.
“With what?” he asked.
“Just... stuff... you know... homework... family... stuff,” she said.
“Stuff. Seriously! You honestly think I’m going to believe that?” he said.
“What do you mean “believe” it? I’m really busy! I have a big assignment due next week, and I really need to do it, because I haven’t even started yet,” said a worried June.
“Since when do you not start assignments? Last week you handed in your History assignment three weeks early. And there were only three weeks to complete it. Don’t tell me you haven’t even started that four week assignment for Drama.”
“How did you know all that stuff?” she asked.
“I’m your boyfriend, June. That’s what boyfriends do. They don’t sing corny Disney duets with you.”
“Firstly, I love singing Disney duets, why don’t you ever sing them with me? Also, so this is what this is all about..” she says, “Me and Tommy?”
“Maybe,” he replied.
“Well there is NOTHING going on between us, I am clearly NOT dating Tommy!” she said.
“Then why did I see THIS on your phone,” said Andy, grabbing her phone out of his pocket and opening up a text message.
“Look, here.” he said.
“Why were you looking through my phone?” asked June, “That’s mine! Give it back!”
She tried to snatch it back, but he had such a firm grip that she couldn’t pull it off him.
“No, I want you to see this!” he yells. “Here!”
He shows her a text message from Tommy. He reads it out, “Dear June, I really enjoyed practicing that duet with you. That kiss was epic too. From, your secret boyfriend, Tommy.”
June gasped.
“Explain that!” he yelled, tossing the phone.
“That was my new iPhone, don’t just throw it like that!” screamed June.
“I can do whatever I like... now that I’m your ex-boyfriend. Have fun with Thomas.”
“You know he hates it when people call him Thomas. His name is Tommy.”
“Whatever,” he yelled, stomping off. “Oh,” he calls back, “Thomas is so dumb, I can’t believe he thought he’d get away with sending a text like that!”
These were the last words June could hear before he had turned a corner, leaving her standing in the cafeteria on her lonesome, everybody else sitting at tables, laughing and having good fun, while June was left all alone, her eyes tearing up.
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
“This one’s for you, June,” said Tommy, smiling flirtatiously at her.
“Why thank you so much,” she replied, staring up at her bedroom wall.
Tommy sung “Kiss From a Rose” by Seal.
“There used to be a graying tower alone on the sea.
You became the light on the dark side of me.
Love remained a drug that's the high and not the pill.
But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and
The light that you shine can be seen.
Baby,
I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray.
Ooh,
The more I get of you,
The stranger it feels, yeah.
And now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the gray.
There is so much a man can tell you,
So much he can say.
You remain,
My power, my pleasure, my pain, baby
To me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny.
Won't you tell me is that healthy, baby?
But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen.
Baby,
I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray.
Ooh, the more I get of you
The stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom.
A light hits the gloom on the gray,
I've been kissed by a rose on the gray,
I've been kissed by a rose
I've been kissed by a rose on the gray,
...And if I should fall along the way
I've been kissed by a rose
...been kissed by a rose on the gray.
There is so much a man can tell you,
So much he can say.
You remain
My power, my pleasure, my pain.
To me you're like a growing addiction that I can't deny, yeah
Won't you tell me is that healthy, baby.
But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and the light that you shine can be seen.
Baby,
I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray.
Ooh, the more I get of you
The stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom,
A light hits the gloom on the gray.
Yes I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the gray
Ooh, the more I get of you
The stranger it feels, yeah
And now that your rose is in bloom
A light hits the gloom on the gray
Now that your rose is in bloom,
A light hits the gloom on the gray.”
After the song, he leant forward and kissed her.
“Oh, Tommy, how I adore you so much,” said June.
“I love you too June,” replied Tommy.
“I can’t believe that I ever broke up with you. I take back all those unkind words I said to you. You know, about being childish and foolish and everything.”
“That’s okay, I’m sorry if I ever hurt you,” replied Tommy.
“So... how’s Justine going about you breaking up with her for me?” asked June.
“Oh... she’s fine. We never really loved each other anyway, it was more just to make each other look more popular, you know, me, the popular footballer, her, the popular cheerleader. Well, we used to be popular anyway. Until we joined glee club.”
“I really don’t care that I’m not on the cheerios anymore. I don’t care about them anymore. All that matters is you. And my dreams. At least I know that they’re the two things that make me happy,” said June.
“I love you June,” said Tommy.
“Me too,” she said.
They leant in for another kiss when the scene cut to the next one.

“I can’t wait Liz and Teddy! I’m sure that your voices will go beautifully together,” said Jesse.
“When you’re ready,” said Amy, instructing them that they could begin performing.
Liz and Teddy performed a duet, female version of “Play That Funky Music” by Wild Cherry.
“Teddy:
Hey, do it now
Yeah, hey
Liz:
Hey, once I was a funky singer
Playin' in a Rock and Roll Band
I never had no problems, yeah
Burnin' down the one night stands
Teddy:
And everything around me, yeah
Got to stop to feelin' so low
And I decided quickly (Liz: Yes I did)
To disco down and check out the show
Liz and Teddy:
Yeah, they was dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted
Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down the boogie and play that funky music till you die
Teddy:
Till you die
Oh ya, ya
(Instrumental Solo)
(Teddy: Hey, wait a minute)
Liz:
Now first it wasn't easy
Changin' Rock and Roll and minds
And things were getting shaky
I thought I'd have to leave it behind
Teddy:
But now its so much better (it's so much better)
I'm funking out in every way
But I'll never lose that feelin' (no I won't)
Of how I learned my lesson that day
Teddy and Liz:
When they were dancin' and singin' and movin' to the groovin'
And just when it hit me somebody turned around and shouted
Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Lay down the boogie and play that funky music till you die
Teddy:
Till you die
Liz:
Oh' till you die
Liz (Teddy):
They shouted play that funky music
(Play that funky music)
Play that funky music
(You Gotta keep on playin' funky music)
Play that funky music
(Play that funky music)
Play that funky music
(Come and take you higher, ya)
Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right, ya
Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right
Play that funky music white boy
Play that funky music right.”
“Whoo!” cheered the Unitards, Jesse predominantly being heard over them.
“That was great!” exclaimed Jesse.

“... so I thought maybe we could do a duet of Barbra Streisand or..” starts Harmony, then stopping, taking one more look at the poster of Barbra Streisand hanging on her bedroom wall, then looking at Winter.
“What’s wrong Winter? I’ve been trying to choose a song this whole time but you’re barely interested. Please... I really want to win this duet competition. And since Jesse won’t tell us what the prize is... I want it even more.”
“Look, I’m sorry,” said Winter. “It’s just that... well, you know Jason Hill, right?”
“Yeah, he was one of the original four Unitards, along with Liz, Poppy and I. He’s sweet.”
“Well... we kinda... you know, had a thing going on. We sung a cute duet then straight after, I told him something that I regret saying. Then he just stormed off and now he won’t reply to any of my texts, emails, phone calls, everything...” she said sadly.
“What about trying to find him? Like... face to face. Sort things out,” said Harmony.
“I can’t. Besides, I found him this morning, and the second he saw me he ran off to the boys toilets. I can’t go in there you know,” said Winter.
“I know. But the boys can come in ours of course. Boys these days; think they can do anything. I’ve had problems with Terri too you know,” replied Harmony.
“Really? I didn’t know you were dating that Terri guy.”
“I hope you don’t mind me asking... but, what did you say to him that upset him? You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want, but as your newfound friend, I believe that I could help you if you told me,” said Harmony.
Winter paused for a moment, not knowing whether to let Harmony in on the secret.
“Okay then,” said Winter, “But you’ve got to pinky-swear not to tell anyone.”
“Sure,” said Harmony, “I’m not that kind of person. Besides, if you knew me, you’d know that I don’t want to lose this duet competition. And if I told everyone your secret, then you’d easily just throw the competition and stuff up all the notes, then we’d lose, then I’d basically be upset for the rest of my life.”
“That’s true,” laughed Winter, then speaking again, “Well... I kind of think that bo-both ge-genders are attractive,” mumbled Winter nervously.
“Oh, don’t worry. The Unitards is full of LGBT members. Carlton’s gay, Simon’s gay, Laura used to be a lesbian (but you didn’t hear that from me) and Rex seems pretty gay too,” joked Harmony.
“Well, it’s nice to know that I’m a part of a club who’s a bit more accepting than others,” said Winter.
“Anyway, remember to meet me tomorrow night, same time as now, same place, same everything. I swear we’re going to win this one!” exclaimed Harmony.
“Yeah...” said Winter, but not too convincingly.
“Thanks for coming,” said Harmony, ushering her to the door happily and helpfully.
Winter walked out of the door, trying to put on a smile, whilst waving goodbye as she walked home. As she walked, she sung “My Dilemma” by Selena Gomez, still puzzled about her feelings as a bisexual, and for Jason.
Walking slowly down the street, she sung.
“You make me so upset sometimes
I feel like I could lose my mind
The conversation goes nowhere
'Cause you're never gonna take me there
And I know what I know
And I know you're no good for me
Yeah, I know what I know
And I know it's not meant to be
Here's my dilemma
One half of me wants ya
And the other half wants to forget
My-my-my dilemma
From the moment I met ya
I just can't get you out of my head
And I tell myself to run from you
But I find myself attracted to my dilemma
My dilemma
It's you, it's you.”
The scene cuts to her singing in the hallways of Jackson High, watching on as Jason takes books out of his locker and walks off to a class.
“Your eyes have told a thousand lies
But I believe them when they look in mine
I heard the rumors but you won't come clean
I guess I'm hoping it's because of me
And I know what I know
And I know you're no good for me
Yeah, I know what I know
And I know it's not meant to be
Here's my dilemma
One half of me wants ya
And the other half wants to forget
My-my-my dilemma
From the moment I met ya
I just can't get you out of my head
And I tell myself to run from you
But I find myself atractted to my dilemma
My dilemma
It's you, it's you.”
She remembers singing the duet with him whilst singing.
“I could live without you
Your smile, your eyes
The way you make me feel inside
I could live without you
But I don't wanna
I don't wanna, oh
Oh, you make me so upset sometimes”
She sings as she twirls sadly around the light pole situated on the side of the footpath.
“Here's my dilemma
One half of me wants ya
And the other half wants to forget
My-my-my dilemma
From the moment I met ya
I just can't get you out of my head
(Get you out of my...)
And I tell myself to run from you
But I find myself attracted to my dilemma
My dilemma
It's you, it's you
It's you, it's you
It's you, it's you
It's you, it's you
It's you, it's you
It's you, it's you
My-my-my dilemma.”
She finally reaches her house. She knocks on the door and rings the doorbell and waits for one of her parents to open the door.
