It has caught my eye recently that many people have been complaining a lot recently on different pages on this wiki, saying that certain characters are singing too much. I agree that some characters should sing more, but I think that it is quite rude to say that a certain character should STOP singing. I think it should just be more equal with everyone.

PointsEdit

Anyway, moving on to my point, I have created a point system in which you can identify who has sung the most (or has got the most solos/duets/group numbers/back-up). The point system is listed below:

6 points - A pure solo. This song may include back-ups but as long as no one is recognized as a back-up. If they ARE noticed, they must not be credited. For example; Valerie for Santana, On My Own for Rachel and Something's Coming for Blaine.

5 points - A solo with recognized back-ups. For example Spotlight for Mercedes, Take a Bow for Rachel, I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You for Blaine and Hot for Teacher for Puck.

4 points - A duet where one person sings a lot more than the other. This duet simply must be uneven. They must majorly sing more. Examples include Run the World (Girls) for Brittany and Maybe This Time for April.

3 points -

A fair equal duet with a partner. Both singers must sing approximately the same amount in the song, basically as long as they sing around about the same. 3 points is also awarded to a group number where somebody sings more than everybody else. Duet examples include Lucky for Sam and Quinn, Extraordinary Merry Christmas for Rachel and Blaine and Defying Gravity for Kurt and Rachel. Group number examples include It's All Over for Mercedes.

2 points - A minor part in a duet or an equal/minor part in a group number. Duet examples include Run the World (Girls) for Santana, Maybe This Time for Rachel and Hot for Teacher for Blaine, Mike and Finn. Group examples include Born This Way for Mercedes, Kurt and Tina and One of Us for Tina, Kurt, Quinn, Finn, Rachel and Mercedes.

1 point -1 point is awarded to someone who performs vocal harmonization or back-up in solos, duets or group numbers. This artist may be credited or not, but they must be able to be recognized. Examples include Spotlight for Tina and Brittany, I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You for Tina and Brittany and Rumor Has It / Somone Like You for Brittany.

Please note: If a character performs back-up vocals with the whole of the group, or can not be recognized they will not be awared any points. Examples include Valerie, for which all of the back-up vocalists can not be recognized as single artists, they are just described as New Directions.

Notes:Edit

• Parts that were cut from the episode will still be counted as long as they are in the single or album version(like Puck's part in Billionaire, Kurt and Artie's parts in You Can't Stop the Beat and Kurt's part in There's a Light etc.) If the part was cut from the song entirely and is sung by by someone else when listened to, yes, it does NOT count.
• Unreleased songs will NOT be counted. Only released songs. The only unreleased songs that are listed are if we have the FULL version of that particular song.
• Songs that were cut will only be included if we have the music to that song, like Hello 12, Hello 13, Hello Love. And the songs on both of the Christmas Albums that weren't in the episode will be counted.
