Glee is over for the season, but they had a PSA announcement with our favorite coach Sue and her awesome sidekick Becky last night. The announcement was about the prevalence of the "R-word" in everyday conversations. To illustrate their points on how offensive it was, they compared the word to several racial slurs for ethnicities, using the "N-word," "C-word" and "S-word."
The reason why it shocked a lot of viewers is because normally, those words are not allowed on air! Instead of beeping out the "N-word," the viewers all heard it spoken. Now I don't have a problem with it since it was for a PSA broadcast to spread awareness about anti-bullying. But it's possible that people who weren't expecting to hear it might have issues with it.
We linked the video so that you can watch the it here. Tell us what you think: admirable or going too far?
