“Welcome to the first annual Nationals First Timers Get-Together!” The Nationals official said as the three glee clubs piled into the conference room at their hotel.
“Why are we here?” A boy yelled from the back
“Because we at the Show Choir Committee have decided to encourage more of a friendly atmosphere to the competition” The man on the stage smiled
“Why? It’s still about beating the other teams isn’t it?” A redheaded girl a the front asked
“Well… Yes, but…” He trailed off
“But what?” Lucas yelled, “Even if we do come together we aren’t going to be friends there’s too much competition going on between us”
“I agree with him” The redhead yelled, “There’s no point!”
“Alright calm down, will the directors and captains of each glee club please come up and introduce their respective glee club?” The man smiled again as Fusion’s three directors and, to Fusion’s surprise, three captains squeezed onto the stage with two other men and four other teens.
“Hello, my name is Patch Evans and I am the director for Centre Stage” The first man said into the microphone
“Hi my name is Percy but everyone calls me Spider and I am the co-captain of Centre Stage,” A boy with dreadlocks said as the redhead pushed him out of her way
“Hello everyone my name is Junette Annabelle Harris and I am the other co-captain AND female lead for Centre Stage” She smiled sweetly, then the other man shoved her out of his way
“Hi, I’m Jesse St. James. Yes THE Jesse St. James from Vocal Adrenaline. I am now the director of The Unitards”
“Hello my name is Harmony Harpse, and you may recognise me, I’m the Gerber baby” She smiled
“She is FAR too perky for my taste” Heather whispered to Lucas who stifled a giggled
“Agreed” He whispered back
“I’ve been acting since I was a foetus, literally, a ultrasound of me was featured on Murder She Wrote.”
“Alright Harmony we don’t need your life story” one of the boys yelled out
“And I am one of the co-captains of The Unitards” she sighed and walked away from the microphone
“Jason” The boy who followed her said, “Don’t talk to my girlfriend like that!” He snapped, the boy who yelled at Harmony looked down “Anyway I’m the other captain of The Unitards, my name’s Terri”
“I’m David and I am the head director of Fusion” he smiled
“I’m Hunter and I’m one of the co-directors”
“With me my name is Regina” she smiled warmly at the group and pushed Heather forward
“I’m not actually a co-captain with these guys” Heather said, “I’m just Fusion’s female lead”
“Alright give it up for Heather!” Lucas said as he walked up and the crowd clapped “Anyway I’m Lucas”
“And I’m his counterpart Johnny”
“Now does everyone feel acquainted?” The official asked
“No!” Jude yelled. The official just sighed
“Look, your directors will be at a meeting just start mingling, okay?”
“Fine…” The group moaned

“I can see why you’d think that” He paused “I’m Jason by the way”

“Ladies and gentlemen” The announcer said “Please welcome the top ten National show choirs!” The crowd cheered as the ten glee clubs all gathered on the stage
“Now we will be saying good-bye to 5 teams right here and now.” The announcer said “In tenth we have Soundsplosion, ninth goes to Vocal Chordz, eighth is Twelve Steps, in seventh we have Vocal Extreme, in sixth we have The Unitards. Unfortunately this means that they are not the top show choir in America but they still are part of the top ten. A round of applause for our sixth to tenth top show choirs in America!”
“I’m SO sorry” Lucas mouthed to Harmony
“It’s fine” She mouthed then smiled “You slaughter these wannabes” She mouthed then laughed as she and the other Unitards left the stage
“Now for our top 5 show choirs in America. In fifth it’s Teenage Scream, fourth goes to Fusion, in third Centre Stage, second goes to Singaz Wit Attitude and that means our number 1 show choir is The Portland Scale Blazers!”

“You’re kidding right?” June said overhearing him “You guys were amazing out there you deserved first! But unfortunately you didn’t get it, oh well, our two choirs and The Unitards have done the best job ever for a first time team”
“She’s right.” Johnny said “We got through this far which is only short of a miracle, most first year teams barely make it to Regionals and here we are at Showcase!”
“Exactly” June smiled at Fusion
“Hey June when do you leave for your home?” Lucas asked
“I never left home” June smiled “Centre Stage is one of the teams from New York.” She giggled
“Right…” Lucas trailed off
“What are you up to Lucas?” June looked at him
“How about one last song, with The Unitards for old times sake?” Lucas smiled
“You’re on!” Jason said as he and The Unitards burst through the door

“We were kinda eavesdropping” Harmony sighed
“Good job you were” June grinned as she gave Harmony a hug
