At the start of the episode Will walks into the choir room and tells everyone that Noah/Puck has been sent to juvi. The kids ask when he will be back, and Will says that its unknown. But afterwards Will introduces a new member Sam Evans to the New Directions. Finn is happy and excited to see him in the club. Will explains this weeks assignment "Duets". Will then explains that the assignment is a competition and that they will be competing for a dinner for two at Breaksticks.

After this, Kurt catches up with Sam in the hallway, he introduces himself to Sam, and accuses him of having dyed his hair, seeing as Kurt thinks hes gay. Then Kurt asks if Sam would be willing to be his duet partner, and Sam agrees.

We then see Brittany and Santana making out in Brittany's bedroom, and Brittany asks if Santana would like to be her duet partner. But Santana declines her offer, and then the scene goes to Santana talking to Mercedes. Santana says that they are the best singers and thats why they should sing a duet, Mercedes agrees.

At lunch, Finn confronts Kurt that he shouldn't sing with Sam as a duet partner, reminding Kurt of how he behaved towards Finn last year. Finn thinks that if Sam sings with Kurt , he guarantees that in a week, Sam will take so much teasing that he will have to quit Glee Club. And says to Kurt, that he has to make the descision for the club.

After, it goes to Rachel and Finn in the choir room practicing their duet "Dont Go Breaking My Heart". After they performed it, Rachel says that shes not a very nice and selfish. She is willing to give up the competition for Sam to get a reputation in the club.

Then, Mike and Tina are seen in the library. Tina confronts Mike, but Mike claims that he isnt sure if he wants to sing. Tina then claims that she just wants to have normal dinner, instead of dim sum with Mikes mother. Mike then says that they should go to Asian Couples Therapy.

Brittany tells Artie that shes really into him, and he thought she didnt think that he existed, but she thought he was a robot before. Artie can tell anyone their dating, in return for her being his duet partner.

Sam And Finn are in the locker room, and Finn confronts Sam, and he tell him that he wants to sing with Kurt and gave him his word. When Sam leaves the locker room, he gets slushied by Azimio and Karofsky. Quinn is standing nearby and helps Sam clean off, and they hit it off.

At Kurts house, Kurt is taking care of Burt while he recovers. Kurt explains about Sam and Finns request. Burt thinks that Finn may be right, seeing as Kurt doesnt know whether Sam is gay or not.. Burt says that some straight guys find those things difficult to handle.

Mercedes and Santana are first to kick off the duets competition singing "River Deep, Mountain High" At the end of the song, Mercedes and Santana are sure that they will win the dinner for 2 at Breadsticks. Later on, Kurt goes to the locker room, to find Sam. When he does, Kurt tells him that he should find somebody else to sing with.

Finn and Rachel are talking in Rachels bedroom about how they can lose the competition. Finn comes up with the idea that they should sing a offensive song, and Rachel agrees.

Tina asks Artie to sing with her for the competition as friends, but Artie declines saying that he already has a duet partner, and goes to sit with Brittany.

The next day in the choir room, Kurt arrives telling the Glee Club that he is going to sing with the most talented member of the club - himself. Kurt performs "Le Jazz Hot" on his own.

Sam and Quinn are dicussing if they could possibly sing a duet together. He talks her through all of the choreography with his guitar. Until, Sam makes his move nearly kissing her but Quinn backs out. She then claims that she doesnt want to sing with him, leaving Sam disappointed.

Tina and Mike take it away with "Sing", this is Mikes first time at singing infront of the club. They were all entertained by the performance, and Mr.Shue extremely overwhelmed.

In the locker room, Finn confronts Sam about kissing Quinn, meanwhile Rachel is trying to convince Quinn to sing with Sam. They are seen in the hallway, Sam claims he was out of line, and Quinn agrees to sing with him.

Rachel and Finns turn to sing comes up, and everyone knows its going to be great. But they are surprised to hear the offensive song they are singing "With You Im Born Again". At the end of the performance Mr.Shue is disappointed in them. Sam and Quinn sing "Lucky", at the end they are holding hands, and everyone is clapping.

In the hallway Artie breaks up with Brittany, claiming that she was only using him for his voice, and took away his virginity when she didnt really care. He says he doesnt want to be her partner, Brittany is legatimately sorry for what she did.

In the choir room, Mr.Shue calls it too a vote, and all the glee clubbers vote for themselves. But Sam and Quinn win by two votes.

At Kurts locker, he is approached by Rachel saying that they are going to win nationals because of him and wonders if he wants to sing a duet and Kurt agrees. They sing "Happy Days Are Here Again"

Sam and Quinn are at their dinner at Breadsticks, Sam tells Quinn that he thinks shes brave for coming back to school through what shes been through . He admits to dying his hair, and Quinn puts away the vouchers and claims that hes paying because its the first date.

I would rate this episode a 5/5. I would rate this episode 5/5 because it was when one of my most favourite ships came together, and the songs were amazing especially Lucky and River Deep, Mountain High. I was excited to see that the club were finally doing duets. I think all of the members had the right partners they were meant to be with.
