Last night (29th May 2012) was the UK Glamour Awards. Having found out that Lea Michele was in London and attending, I knew I had to go! That I did, with my 8yr old, Rachel obsessed daughter in tow.
Before Lea arrived, we got an autograph from Jamie Campbell Bower, star of Harry Potter and Twilight and we also had a conversation with Jason Issacs. Big deal for both me and my daughter as we both love Harry Potter.
Then Lea arrived and the fans and press went crazy!!! Lea went and met all the fans down the other end and then went and posed for the press. Luckily for us, the security team pointed out me and my daughter, with the fans surrounding us doing the same at which point she headed over to us.
I went to pieces (highly unusual for me) at the sight of the gorgeous Lea in front of us. Lea, on seeing my daughter, said "Awwwww" and signed an autograph. Somehow in the craziness, my daughter managed to give Lea, or at least the guy who was with her, a picture she had drawn of her as the Prom Queen. Sadly, despite numerous tweets, we currently have no idea if she has actually seen it! But no matter, we got to meet Lea, even if we did not get a photo with her!
We were also very lucky to also meet Eva Longoria, who told my daugher how cute she was and also Cuba Gooding Jr, who came over after I shouted in a moment of little noise, "Cuba, come meet my daughter!"
We are so grateful to the security team for pointing us out to Lea and also to the fans who helped make my daughter's dream of meeting her idol come true! It is definitely a night we never forget!
I will leave you with a tip on how to meet the stars, take a ridiculously cute 8yr old with you as that tends to get their attention!
