Me and the the Glee WikiEdit

I first started using the wiki in late July/early August after I typed 'glee' into google and pressed on 'Glee Wiki's' link compared to Wikipedia. I was stunned that I discovered facts on them shooting, and rumours about the episode, and that I could talk to people who loved the show. I didn't make an account until November, unsure if I should stop using it or keep contributing and helping it grow. Ever since then I really haven't looked back, I became a ST member in early January and a Chat Moderator soon after.

During my stay on the wiki I had always wanted to have the normal Users involved more, the admins and Buro's had always been the one's deciding things for the wiki without truly talking to Users about it. I think there should either be a special Polling Page or a section dedicated to Wiki life on Main Page so Users are able to help contribute.

I have seen confusion over the rules, especially Newly enforced ones of this wiki and have seen new Users get in trouble for breaking these, this problem is caused by the fact that these rules were applied without knowledge of Users of the Wiki who don't use chat. A new tab on the Main chat should be made for new rules or important notices for Users, to alert them to this.

A Glee Wiki 'Constitution' should be made, these being a new set of rules, created by users to protect Users. Rules made by Users, are most likely to keep to them then a set of rules handed to them, and that way they agree to them. I got the idea from school cause in Primary school they would set the kids down and make them right a set of rules they had to abide by the entire year. And it actually works as they know they wrote them.

Why should I be considered as an Admin? I can say that I officially signed up in November, so I've been around here as 'Wicked' in November, but I have been around 7 months, and have been through 3 different sets of Admins and Buros, so I have seen what works on this Wiki and what doesn't I guess.

As I haven't been an admin on this Wiki before, you may be thinking why should I be given a shot? Well I watch the pages, and comments and know what Users are discussing and what they want on the wiki so I see things through the eyes of a normal User. I know that al these rules, were applied to fast and some find them to be constricting to the usage of the spoilers that can usually be found here.

I have always believed that Admins are there to protect and run the wiki, to keep it safe for it's Users. Lately some haven't felt this and have felt put down by Admins, this isn't right. Admins shouldn't treat Users differently, they should always see them as equals on here, the same should go for Users. Admins should be treated with dignity and they should treat Users the same way, thats the way a Wiki should be run. Through equality and fairness, this Wiki will return to the glory it once held, the magic that made me want to keep coming back everyday and be captured in the magic, holding a piece of Glee that not many Gleeks get to be introduced too, and have to sue Twitter/Tumblr to be connected.

ConclusionEdit

Even if I don't become an Admin, we will always return to this Wiki, for the friends I have made, for the small piece of Magic it holds of glee within its pages. I will stay to help contribute to it as best I can and make sure it becomes bigger and stronger as long as Glee is thriving.
