Victor Joseph Garber, born March 16, 1949, is an American actor. He is known for his role on Alias, in Titanic, in Argo and he guest starred on Glee as Mr. Schuester (Will Schuester's father).

Personal life

Garner was born to Joseph and Hope Garner in London, Ontario, Canada. He has a brother, Nathan, and a sister, Alisa.[1]

Garber is in a relationship with Rainer Andreesen and they reside in New York.[2] He and Andreesen got married in October 2015, after sixteen years together.[3]

Career

Garber had recurring roles on The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd for ten episodes for four years till 1991, E.N.G for ten episodes for three years till 1993, and Liberty! The American Revolution for six episodes in 1997. He had a five year recurring role on Alias for one hundred and five episodes till 2006, thirteen episodes on Justice for a year till 2007, and twenty-six episodes on Eli Stone for year till 2009.

He voiced the role of Charles in the cancelled ABC reboot, Charles Angels, in 2011, on the cancelled Deception for thirteen episodes in 2013, and was on the web/television series, Web Therapy, for twenty-two episodes between 2009 and 2013.

Garber appeared in Godspell in 1973, Sleepless in Seattle in 1993, Titanic in 1997, and Argo in 2012. He was also in Legally Blonde in 2001, Milk in 2008, was the narrator for the NBC mini-series The Slap in 2015 and has a recurring role on The Flash in 2015.

In June 2015, Garber was announced that he would star in CW’s new DC Comics show Legends of Tomorrow as Dr. Martin Stein, reprising his Flash role.[4] Legends of Tomorrow is a spinoff of The Flash and Arrow that will debut in 2016 for the mid-season lineup.[5] It premiered in January.
