After the events of Vitamin D, Sue is appointed as Co-Director and as a way to make the members of New Directions feel uncomfortable, she takes who she deems are minority students for her own Glee Club. Will is left with 5 members for his Sectionals number. They only perform one song, No Air to counter Sue's song Hate on Me.
Later on, Will's Group is seen performing with Sue's Kids. They perform together as one group in secret. Later on, Quinn talks Puck and Brittany into ditching Will's Group and joining Sue's Kids. However, she stays to watch over Finn. Brittany's excuse for joining Sue's Kids is because she's part Dutch. Puck's is being Jewish, so technically Rachel should have joined Sue's Kids with him, but she didn't.
At the end of Throwdown, Will and Sue have an argument and decide to combine as New Directions once again, however, Sue decides to just watch from the shadows as Co-Director instead of helping with the performances.
- No Air by Jordin Sparks ft. Chris Brown. Sung by Rachel and Finn with Brittany, Puck and Quinn.
