With You I'm Born Again by Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright is featured in Duets, the fourth episode of Season Two. It is sung by Finn and Rachel.
They hope that by losing the duet competition, they will help Sam feel more accepted in the New Directions. Will is unimpressed and disappointed, and, this being the reaction they were hoping for. They step aside after their performance, pretending that they hope they can still win, and make way for Quinn and Sam to win the prize. The New Directions looked shocked at Finn and Rachel performing such a song.
This song was known as 'offensive' because the song is about being "born again" through each other's touch. Finn and Rachel used their costumes (priest and a Catholic girl) to make religious references which made it offensive to some students.
