Your Song by Elton John is featured in Shooting Star, the eighteenth episode of Season Four. It is sung by Ryder.

Ryder, assuming Katie, his online love interest, is this girl he sees at school, he grabs her to the choir room to tell her how much he loves her by song, but he is unaware that this isn't Katie, freaking the girl out. He says if he really knows her the way he really does, she would love it even more, getting her more confused. Despite being confused, she smiles and enjoys his performance. He grabs her hands and sings to her as she sits and watches. The two eventually get up to dance as Ryder leads her.

Towards the end of the song, the girl looks very touched, applauding him. She says he's such a good singer and his arms are so hunky that she's literally dying. Still confused, she asks "But.. why me?" Ryder explains the whole online social networking and connecting with her, but she replies that they haven't been doing those things. Her name is revealed to be Marissa and she tells Ryder that someone must be catfishing him.

Lyrics

Ryder:
It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
Don't have much money, but boy if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live

If I was a sculptor, ha, but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show
Oh, I know it's not much, but it's the best I can do
My gift is my song, and this one's for you

And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple, but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well, a few of the verses, well, they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite bright while I wrote this song
It's for people like you that keep it turned on

So excuse me forgetting, but these things I do
You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen

And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple, but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world
While you're in the world
